akronzips71 Posted November 28, 2018 Report Posted November 28, 2018 I am NOT paying to watch. Way to go U of A. Alienate the alumni who support the University. Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted November 28, 2018 Report Posted November 28, 2018 Sorry, I am out of the loop on this. What's up? Quote
zippy5 Posted November 28, 2018 Report Posted November 28, 2018 I enjoy my ESPN+ and think it's worth the $5 a month even if it didn't have Zips games, imo. 2 Quote
akronzips71 Posted November 28, 2018 Author Report Posted November 28, 2018 Do not pay for it. That is the only way to make it go away 1 Quote
kreed5120 Posted November 28, 2018 Report Posted November 28, 2018 I like it. I hope they move more games there. Paying $60 for a year membership certainly beats the $75/mo I was previously paying for cable. 1 Quote
RowdyZip Posted November 28, 2018 Report Posted November 28, 2018 My Chromecast seems to have more problems handling the ESPN+ stream than it did running ESPN3, for some reason. Other than that, I'm ok. I'll probably cancel after basketball season though, I don't see myself using it outside of August through March. Quote

LZIp Posted November 28, 2018 Report Posted November 28, 2018 I still prefer ESPN3, as I have a cable account to mooch off of. Likely will not be able to watch this one. Luckily, I shouldn't be missing much tonight. 1 Quote
Valpo Zip Posted November 28, 2018 Report Posted November 28, 2018 The best $50 I ever spent. 1 Quote

Unless you already used up your trial on the Zips-Kent State football game, like me. Not really disappointed to not pay to watch this game in person or on TV anyway. Quote
Illini Zip Posted November 29, 2018 Report Posted November 29, 2018 I wasn't going to mess with ESPN+, but looking on the schedule we have 8 more games that are solely ESPN+ broadcasts. This is something new this year, correct? I remember more games on ESPN3. Quote

It has all the 30/30, it has a series of Kobe breaking down NBA players, has a series of Manning breaking down young QB's, has every out of market MLS game, tons of other foreign soccer, random college games, other misc sports, and series. I will definitely be renewing my subscription. 2 Quote
Sergeant Zip Posted November 29, 2018 Report Posted November 29, 2018 A lot of this used to be included for free with your cable package, now they charge for them. 1 Quote

August (soccer) through March (bball) and cancel. Have to agree with others who like the content. It's a $5 sports ticket I can use multiple times a month. Figured ESPN would eventually try to monetize all of their ESPN-ready content. Too bad Reghi does so many of our game ... just excruciating. Quote
mrelegazna Posted December 5, 2018 Report Posted December 5, 2018 I don't know what to tell you if you think $4.99 a month for Zips games and hundreds of other sporting events (including Zips soccer, volleyball, women's BB, and who knows what else) is an outrage worth boycotting over. 1 Quote
AyYo Posted December 5, 2018 Report Posted December 5, 2018 I love ESPN+. I get a bunch of the Zips games (football, soccer, MBB, and WBB) and as a soccer fan, it's amazing because it has MLS, Italian Serie A, English League Cup, English FA Cup, and more. It also has one MLB and NHL game each day throughout their respective seasons. Well worth $5 per month. 1 Quote
