Sounds like Marches will be fun again! Buffalo/Kent last night was quite ugly. Buffalo gets a lot of rebounds and Pippin for Kent made 6 straight free throws at the end to seal it for PCCC. Buffalo is a shadow of what they were last year. Today worries me because Kittens can get hot from 3 like Toledo did. However, Kittens don't have the athletes that Rockets have. If Zips can get a lead and keep fresh legs on the court Kittens should fold. 1 Quote
NWAkron Posted January 25, 2020 Report Posted January 25, 2020 (edited) Watched the end of the Ball State/Central game. Sad display from the Cardinals. Toledo or BG? That's a tough call. Toledo and Marreon Jackson choked at home tonight. Must have reminded them of their trips to The Q. Edited January 26, 2020 by NWAkron Quote
The Hip Zip Posted January 26, 2020 Report Posted January 26, 2020 Random ramblings.... Big winner of the day appears to be C Mich who took down Ball St and got McKay back into the lineup. on the same day. Coupled with Toledo's loss they find themselves right in the thick of things in the west. Frye played out of his mind tonight for BG. Their stock has risen sharply since the return of Turner. It's no accident that they are right there with us at the top. With arguably the MACs best trio Toledo just doesn't seem to have enough around them. They seriously lack any quality depth at all. Not at all sold on Todd being any great shakes as a coach either. Buffalo's defense is horrible. I look for a BIG statement W on Tuesday. The Bulls are an average MAC squad. No better, no worse. Last but not least, we have the most exciting player in the league by far. Just love watching LCJ play. 3 Quote
NWAkron Posted February 1, 2020 Report Posted February 1, 2020 The best four teams faced off tonight. Two one point games. BG' s five year re-build is paying off. See how they do with a target on their backs. Quote
MDZip Posted February 4, 2020 Report Posted February 4, 2020 ESPN has LCJ listed as the frontrunner as MAC player of the year. 1 1 Quote

I would have guessed that Marreon Jackson would be the top contender as he's the only other MAC player consistently putting up gaudy scoring totals in MAC play. I guess when your team is 3-6 in conference play that automatically disqualifies you. Turner is probably another guy to keep an eye on. His numbers aren't as good as LCJ, but BGSU is currently in 1st place. 1 Quote
zippy5 Posted February 4, 2020 Report Posted February 4, 2020 they probably spent 5 minutes to see who the leading scorer was on a top 4 team and called it a day.. not that they are wrong 1 Quote

The Hip Zip Posted February 5, 2020 Report Posted February 5, 2020 Pretty nice night off for the Zips as It's not too often when the West sweeps the East. However, when they do I prefer that we don't participate. 1 1 Quote

NWAkron Posted February 6, 2020 Report Posted February 6, 2020 Two big games tomorrow night: Pinky takes the Flashes to Dekalb. 7pm CBSSN Keno and The Chipps head to Canada: 9pm ESPNU I'm conflicted on these two games. Quote

Personally, I'll be cheering for DeKalb & Canada as I think the Flushes and Chipps are more serious competitors to us for an improved seed. 2 Quote

Yep. Great Zips fans think alike. We know how this works. Yeah, need to bottom 4 to stay the bottom 4 and maybe have one or two at the top who take out those in the middle during the regular season. zippy5 Posted February 6, 2020 Report Posted February 6, 2020 i find it hard to ever cheer for KSU or UB. So go NIU and CMU Quote

kreed5120 Posted February 8, 2020 Report Posted February 8, 2020 He has no remaining eligibility left so it's not like he's doing it to transfer. Hopefully it's not because of any serious medical reason. Quote
