Totally agree, the turf has not aged well. If anything changes, start with the turf first.

I don’t know but I think the Nike partnership came so close to season there wasn’t many option.  I hope they add white pants & gold Jersey.  If they did that and changed the helmet color up & decals on helmets you could have really cool options again.

A Zips game broadcast mentioned the Infocision turf would be replaced in the offseason. It is 12 years old, and typically shouldn't go more than 8 years between replacements.

I say, big Z in the middle of the field and script Akron in the end zones. Maybe we can find a script Akron we can all believe in LOL.

Nice 2nd option you put together! Maybe a Roo head in a corner of each of the endzones too! Gotta keep the Roo present!!

Also, off topic a bit, but I wish they would do something with the field a bit. They didn't paint it this season, so a fresh coat would be nice on the center logo and endzones. And they can switch that up too. Why not? I like the center logo, but it would be cool for a different design or something in endzone. In any event, it looked really worn even for the first home game. But perhaps I'm just being nitpicky haha. 

It does look worn, but that’s just because the artificial turf is getting old. They’re not going to be able to paint it since it’s not natural grass. They’re eventually going to have to replace the whole thing.

What does the current field look like, I'm having bigtime mandela effect where I swear it's still the ARoo, but then I see the Z on the field in my head because they changed it on the Infocision Sign and the basketball court.  

My head hurts now...how something you literally see all the time and when forced to remember what it looks like you can't....

Yeah still has ARoo at midfield, Akron and Zips in either endzone. It's been the same since InfoCision opened.

The nice thing about the Z is it's the same for both sides, like the basketball court. If they really want the script, they could do the end zones like your first option with the Z in the middle. Geez, now I'm sounding like a client: can we combine them?

I always liked the traditional Akron font and feel it is certainly better than this new script Akron. I don’t have a strong preference on the logos just don’t care for the script.

I do like your Z logo with the chromed helmet to. I also liked the yellow/gold helmet with the moving A worn when Gerry Faust was our coach in 1986 to 1994.

I love those uni’s. We recently would wear those once a year as yhrowbacks & it was awesome.

I don't think they actually need to plant more grass on the hill behind the south end zone. Fertilizer and aeration should be sufficient.

No.Natural grass should be considered for the Playing surface.Seats should be added to the hill not fertilizer.

It's a nice looking helmet.

The main issue some on here (especially the graphics design guys) have with it is that it is using a stock Nike font, so any team (middle school or high school) could pull off the same look.

I love the Z, but I agree, this is a classy look.
