I didn't copy the link from the post but I saw on Twitter earlier that Enrique has made the opening night roster for the T-Wolves as one of their 3 two-way players. And he's wearing the #25 jersey.

Freeman has not been on the Timberwolves roster the first 2 games and will probably start out in the G league.  Here is a great article on how he may fit on the Timberwolves:

Tough to get much playing time at the beginning of the season when the roster is mostly healthy. But once the G League season starts, he'll get plenty of time there.

Unfortunately, the T Wolves set up with their G League team isn't as convenient as the Pacers where the two teams sometimes played in the same building on the same day, allowing him to play G League and be active in the NBA on the same day.

We know for sure that he'll work hard to keep improving and get a shot to prove himself like he did last year.

The card shop I work at on the weekends had a Panini redemption for an Enrique Freeman rookie auto. After learning that I PC Freeman, the shop owner gave the redemption to me. The card arrived today from Panini. Love seeing Zips on official sports cards!

What does this mean in terms of his two-way eligibility? Can he still be called up and active at any time?

My understanding is that he can be called up at any time.  I am sure if one of the Timberwolves bigs suffers an injury he can be added to the roster.  The Iowa Wolves are probably starting their practice this week and the season opens I believe on the 8th.  It will be interesting how much he has improved as a 2nd year pro.
