Captain Kangaroo
Nice! That’s the type of ooc opponent I’ve been dying to schedule for years! How many beers did #51 have the night before that picture was taken? 1
Hilltopper
I think everybody is going to really like Sammy Hunter. The stretch 4 we have been looking for to give Freeman some room to work around the basket. Ryan Prather is the real deal too.

I noticed that if you make the time frame short enough, we lead the series with them 1-0. Unfortunately, that does not include our 0-4 record against them during our pre D1 time. Record looks pretty good if we only look at one day
Let'sGoZips94
By the way, why does it seem like our schedule is always one of the last two be announced? Seems like we always find out non-conference, non-early-season-tourney games through other teams' schedules. By the time ours is fully announced, everything except which Point Park we play. I'm going to vote for "because the Zips are so darn good it's difficult to get teams to agree to play them."

Also worth noting, less than half of D1 schools (132 out of 363) have released their non-conference schedules, according to @d1docket on Twitter. Speaking of him, I guess it's a common complaint.. True; and the Zips still have their share of bunnies hopping into town. Last year, a game against Wright State probably would have ended in a L This year the Zips chances for a W are higher because two of Wright States better players have moved on thru the portal to Ohio State and Virginia Tech. They have done a pretty good job of replacing them but I'm not yet sure how the replacements are going to blend with the team.

SDSU is an intriguing game to a follower of college basketball, but not to Joe Akron. They won 30 games last year, though I think they lost their best player to a bigger program.
NWAkron
I'm incredibly happy to see any men's basketball schedule. January 4 - 21 will be brutal for us fans with only ONE home game during that 3 week stretch. The Maine Bears? That's random! Would have been better to get Vermont Catamounts in the JAR? GJGood
I like this schedule with fellow mid-majors like SDSU, Bradley, Marshall, and even a little lesser low-to-mid like Maine. I would imagine Bradley and South Dakota State are home-and-homes with reverse sites in a future season? Also like the MSU game, wish it could be in Akron or maybe Cleveland but playing them in Philly is a good neutral site. Love the competition in the Caymans. Only complaint I have is both Muskingum and Concord. I feel like one of those two is ample enough lower tier competition and if we wanted someone that posed such a small threat that we could have done it from the low levels of D-1... maybe the St Francis program that the football team is playing, it’s at least D-1. Overall, though, I am not complaining.. just hope in the future we can get a bigger name or two in the JAR
