Even if the rich get richer, I think it's good for us in general because it is another potential revenue source. Any opportunity to push us from the red more towards the black is great. It seems like for every $1 of extra revenue there is $1.50 in extra expenses. More money has flowed into college football, even at the mid-major level, but the deficits seem larger than ever. Coaching salaries, facility upgrades, etc. seem to outpace revenue growth. Quote

Los Angeles has Hollywood money and West coast money. Seattle has big tech money. Oregon has Nike money. Cities like Philadelphia, New York, Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago, Pittsburgh and Minneapolis have loads of money. Now that college football is about money, the more money you have, the better odds of success. The two biggest money schools in the SEC are Texas and TX A and M because they have oil money. The rest of the SEC only has car dealership money and that ain't that much in comparison. The Big Ten has a huge money advantage moving forward. Looks like Nick Saban agrees with you. Quote

Mark Cuban just isn't rich. He has a deep understanding of how to structure complex organizations, including an NBA team. This experience no only allows one to spend a lot, but spend wisely. Indiana was an example of spending wisely. Many will try to copy, but since few have actual experience doing it they will fail. A car dealership isn't exactly Dell or an NBA team or Nike. 1 Quote
Sergeant Zip Posted January 27 Report Posted January 27 The math isn't mathing. Rutgers’ athletics deficit is up to $516.9 million since joining the Big Ten. https://x.com/KSargeantNJ/status/2015809664303202531?s=20 1 Quote

Nobody wants to look the poorest on their block so it becomes more expensive to try to keep up with the Jones's. Quote
kreed5120 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago I wasn't sure where to put this, but the MWC signed their TV deal. That would lead me to think the MAC deal, which expires in 2027, should begin to see some movement. Quote
