clarkwgriswold Posted January 3, 2024 Author Report Posted January 3, 2024 I suspect Groce is not happy with some of the defensive breakdowns this half. 1 Quote

clarkwgriswold Posted January 3, 2024 Author Report Posted January 3, 2024 Need to get Enrique a board for his double double and get him out of there. Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted January 3, 2024 Author Report Posted January 3, 2024 Kaleb solid tonight. Only 5 points but leads the team in assists. Quote

Illini Zip Posted January 3, 2024 Report Posted January 3, 2024 Tavari, Lyles and Prather Jr. to close us out. Quote

LoyalZIP Posted January 3, 2024 Report Posted January 3, 2024 Dawson actually played well tonight. Not a night to remember for Sammy but both played hard and contributed. 1 Quote
LZIp Posted January 3, 2024 Report Posted January 3, 2024 We kicked the pee out of a weak conference opponent like a championship caliber team should. Good win. 2 Quote
Illini Zip Posted January 3, 2024 Report Posted January 3, 2024 It might not have been the most exciting game, but it's still a valuable road kill. Quote
Let'sGoZips94 Posted January 3, 2024 Report Posted January 3, 2024 Anything from Prather that showed promise? Quote

NWAkron Posted January 3, 2024 Report Posted January 3, 2024 Maybe St. Bonaventure was a really good team. 2 Quote
Illini Zip Posted January 3, 2024 Report Posted January 3, 2024 Freeman ended up 9 for 11 at the free throw line. Much better. Quote

Nobody mentioned Scott or Johnson who I thought were our best combination on offense. Would start them, then sub-inn Tribble for D and Thornton for ballhandling and assists. The StBonny game helped to tighten up our defense. 2 Quote

I could see him moving over to SG and Ali going to one of the forward positions and displacing someone, but Tribble stays in the starting 5. Quote

Assuming you mean guard Tavari Johnson, he only played 2 minutes against NIU and 1 minute against St. B. Tough to make an assessment based upon that. Scott was certainly solid against NIU.
