Let'sGoZips94
Hardman finding confidence in recent games. Akron up 89-67 with 7 minutes to go. The MAC is in trouble.
Illini Zip
We have a bunch of guys who could get hot from deep, but I would be surprised if Hardman doesn’t break a record somewhere.

Before the broadcast ended, Amani was seen walking out on his own power in the boot to accept his tournament award. Good sign. 2 minutes ago, Illini Zip said: No Wilson tonight. Noticed this. Scary how well we played with only 9 guys, in this style/system, in the 3rd game in as many days. We just proved in November we have the ability to win in Cleveland in March. That's something we haven't seen since... 2019-20?

LZIp
I’m pretty happy with our showing this weekend. Not only undefeated, but feels like we’re gelling. Excited for the rest of the season.
clarkwgriswold
Some highlights from Groce on the postgame: 1) It was the most complete game they played all year; 2) He wants to play FASTER!; 3) The defense took a step and was better and is now about average, but they need to make more steps yet; 4) As mentioned above, they hope Amani's injury is just a sprain and that he'll be back soon. Imaging tomorrow. You could see that Groce was occasionally frustrated by the slow pace Tavari was bringing the ball up the court at times today. Wilson doesn't look like the others regarding fitness.

He seems to have some natural talent but he does not appear to be in shape. Maybe it is his body type but right now he looks out of place, and now he looks out of the rotation. At the preseason reception, I initially though he might be one of the managers. Edited November 24 by clarkwgriswold
Illini Zip
I hope Wilson works his way back into the rotation soon, even if for only a few minutes at a time. I don’t want him to fall too far behind the rest of the team. He has a good shot from deep, has plenty of game experience and his big body will help in certain match-ups. But he can’t be a liability on the up-tempo style of play either.
clarkwgriswold
Marvin Musiime-Kamali did a nice job of spelling Okonkwo after Amani went down today. I'm starting to worry a little about Jojo Harris. I really want him to be the next Xeyrius Williams but I'm a little afraid he could be the next Maishe Dailey. Illini Zip
I think this week off will be good for Harris as well. I imagine his back is quite sore from yesterday’s fall.
Blue & Gold
Im not worried about Jojo. His body language is still positive & projects confidence. Dailey was like a deer in headlights. I still think Jojo will be our leading scorer… though the way Nate’s been playing… maybe our #2.

He's unfailingly polite and a real student athlete.
Let'sGoZips94
JoJo will be fine. He had 10 rebounds - Maishe might've had 10 rebounds in his entire Akron career. I think there are so many scoring threats on this team, we should expect quieter stretches at times from our top guys. For example, Hardman had himself a day. Those 3PA eat into JoJo's shot attempts.

That thud was loud when he hit the floor.
