RoyalBlu Posted yesterday at 03:28 PM Report Posted yesterday at 03:28 PM Let's get this season started with thoughts of what's known, and what's to come. That 24-25 Post Mortem is hopefully done. 1 Quote
ZipsFan31 Posted yesterday at 10:24 PM Report Posted yesterday at 10:24 PM Let’s go!!!! So pumped to see what these guys can do. I feel like it is a 2 horse race with us and Miami. Is anyone else got the fire power to compete with us and Miami? Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago It pains me to say it, but history tells us PCCC will be in the mix. The school and boosters have committed money to Mr. Pinky so they'll be around. 2 Quote

RoyalBlu Posted 23 hours ago Author Report Posted 23 hours ago (edited) Don't know if Kent will be there for the long haul -- too many freshmen and backcourt is suspect -- but they will be a tough out by the end of the season, no matter what. They really haven't spent much on transfers, although they have a few. Seems they have put more resources into freshmen, a couple with some A-10 type pedigree. The trick will be keeping them - if they are as good as recruitniks say. I think UMass is the team to watch. More size than any MAC team, which may offset the 3-point shooting from Akron and Miami. Anxious to see what they really look like. Also, while not a contender, hearing a lot of really good things about Central Michigan as a team to keep an eye on. After that, the usual suspects. ZipsFan31 Posted 22 hours ago Report Posted 22 hours ago Just about to post this about Evan. I think this is an extremely good sign. I think Evan has the chance to be glue who holds the team together Quote

Bold strategy given their recent success, or lack thereof, with freshman. They had one quit the team last year before the season started. Can't remember the last standout freshman at PCCC. Good call on UMass. I don't care about their down years in the A10 recently. They have more money than anyone in the MAC, a better coach than anyone in the MAC not named John Groce and maybe Travis Steele, and the MAC is a significant step down from the A10 after the first few teams.
