The prices seem to be pretty much in line with Nike team gear. At least it's another option for people to buy? 

 

I get it, but I am: 1) a grumpy old man; and 2) frugal (Cheap).

It's probably part of their business strategy. The thought process is drops drive demand as it creates artificial scarcity and FOMO. Not to mention it reduces expenses by eliminating the amount of inventory those websites need to keep on hand.

 

It's actually growing more common in e-commerce.

It's just a result of how BSN operates. They take orders for a few weeks, then when the shop closes, they produce all of the orders and ship them out. So they are only producing what is ordered and there is no excess.

By the way, the seller never sent this out to me so eBay refunded me. Then, he messaged me and said he didn't realize it sold. So, he listed it again (at a slightly cheaper price). I changed my mind, so it should still be available last I checked. Maybe someone else here might want it.

We have a regular customer at the card shop that's a big Akron fan. He brought his son in who is probably 8-10 years old. He asked me where he can get some 3Peat merch. Luckily, I was gifted an extra hat the other day and had it in my bag. Gave it to him and,  man, you should've seen the smile on his face. He went to dinner and came back a couple hours later with the tags off. I asked if he will ever take the hat off and he said, "Nope," with a huge smile. 

 

Never be afraid to talk Zips with people. Never know who you'll leave an impression on and foster life-long fandom.

 

Also, 3Peat merch is a huge hit. Props to Wentz and the FTRC crew on creating great merch.

Does anyone know what's going on with this? They said each team will have their own store 4 times per year but it's been two months and I haven't seen one from any sport. Only the initial department-wide one.

Honesty, it's probably not a great time to have specific sport gear with school being out. It might pick up in August as college football becomes more into focus.

Yeah but my thinking was people can order now so they can have the gear by the start of the season.

We just recently re-upped with Nike. It is going to take some time to get the merchandise into the pipeline.

They did a Zips Athletics a month or so ago. I would guess we will see a football one in August.

I saw Women's Soccer and Volleyball post links to their stores earlier. Open until August 17. Maybe we'll see football and MSOC soon also.

Yeah, I gave it a peak yesterday and nothing really caught my eye. I'll probably just continue to support FTR by adding 2-3 pieces of Zips gear each year. I only have so much room in my closet anyway and I already own plenty of Zips stuff.

Yeah, it's kinda just putting each sport's wordmark on the same Nike items. But it's better than nothing and hopefully it expands or at least the items change each time they open the stores.

With that said, I didn't have any Nike gear specific to football so I bought a long sleeve shirt yesterday and hope it arrives before the home opener. It says the items ship 4 weeks after the store closes. Also, unfortunately you can't combine shipping across stores, so if you buy from multiple sports, it's $10 shipping each time. I contacted BSN and they confirmed you can't combine shipping.
