probably way too much optimism, BUT, some factors this person took into consideration...

this person is under the impression Poff is returning and is going to have a monster year, says so in the comments

miami lost their starter qb ( we do play them relatively early that could be to our benefit

this person is not an ohio or buffalo fan ( apparently buffalo had a huge turnover as did toledo when their coach left

we SHOULD BEAT UMASS and KSUCKS so to get this the other conference we would need is CMU...

he doesn't have us having any major upsets over the non conferences and the only major upset is miami and im sure if their qb was there he would not have picked us...

all i know is that as of right now we are tied for first and i am excited and can't wait til next week to see what we have...  at least i can enjoy the next week...

Quality article from ZippedUp.  Related question:  Why has CMU announced their QB and Akron hasn't?

Moorhead isn't saying a word he isn't contractually obligated to say.  Only way he's announcing anything is if the MAC starts requiring it.  One must keep their secrets close to the vest to get a 13-35 record, of course.

I imagine our earliest indication will be when the Game Notes are released (probably Monday) if the depth chart is listed.

Right, whatever date the MAC makes him share something.

Although, honestly, the game notes won't be a certain signal either because they were listing Patrick as the starting running back late last season when Gant was getting 90% of the carries. LOL

But maybe it's different with a case of ineligibility and they aren't able to list him if he's ineligible?
