Shifting the offense to one side to draw the defense over then making a strong pass crosscourt to the open 3P shooter is very well done.

I don't think it was anything they actively did. Our defensive rotations were miserable there. We changed, not them. They simply took advantage.

They're on him like a glove. Unlike Enfield/SMU, McCasland/TTU actually studied film and are actively taking away the 3P shot. They're doing a great job of switching on screens to prevent anybody slipping through the cracks, too.

And he just backed out of a fast break when he should have challenged the defense at the rim. He is being timid, and that's a terrible sign.

 

Just once I'd like us to bring our A game to the NCAAT. That's why OOC games on the road like at Troy matter so much. We should be prepared for this, but we don't appear to be! Ugh.

Did you see the layup attempt? It got swatted 7 rows deep. Zero issue with him pulling it out, just hated not finding Hardman.
