GP1 Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago (edited) The wide receivers need to do a better job of receiving. It doesn't do anymore any good if you're good at getting open but can't catch. Edited 16 hours ago by GP1 Quote
1981 grad Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago A fumble and 2 drops in the first quarter and we are only down 10. The defense has played well after opening drive. Offense looks good but for the dropped balls. We have also gotten pressure on their QB. There is hope. Quote
exit322 Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago And it starts for Broughton and the injuries. 1 Quote
exit322 Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago If Akron doesn't have a jugs machine, Brookhart and Beals need to be throwing fastballs to these guys for about 14 hours in practice this week. Quote

exit322 Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Special teams not helping on that one. Akron has played pretty OK here against a decent B1G team, but they just don't have room for the errors they've made. Quote
GP1 Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago That was great defense by 17. The catch was just a little better. Why can't our receivers do that? 1 Quote

1981 grad Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago If our receivers do not drop 3 very catchable balls this might be a different game. Akron must play near perfect ball when playing a big 10 team. Our receivers did not get that message. Quote
exit322 Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Broughton to the locker room. I was worried he couldn't handle the hits. Quote

I'd go as far as to say if Akron drops passes like this during the MAC schedule, they won't win many games. Football games are won off of turnovers, points off turnovers and big plays. I don't care if you are playing a mac school or big ten, if you can't make big plays, you can't win. Quote
exit322 Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Bad penalties from the offensive line aren't helping a good drive. Quote
zipsrule Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago What a dumb penalty! Those are drive killers. Quote
Captain Kangaroo Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Only the Zips could have the ball at the 10 yard line, and then be out of field goal range in 2 plays. 1 Quote
