Zips in the NFL

I just hope at least one of them sticks on an NFL roster somewhere.

Justin March has kind of made the Chiefs. The team placed him on IR, which bodes well for what the organization thinks of him. Essentially, the injury made it tough to keep him on the 53, but they didn't want to lose him, so they will pay him to "rehab" this year. A team isnt going to pay an undrafted rookie not to play unless they think he is in their future plans.

Also,it looks like Pughsley (Chiefs), Chisholm (Steelers), Capi (Jaguars) and D'Orazio (Patriots) have all made it to final cutdowns. Even if none make their teams' 53, all have a decent shot at making the practice squad.

LT Smith was cut by the Colts; and it looks like Lemon is going back to Canada.

Wouldn't be surprised to see one or two end up on a practice squad.

Undrafted rookie inside linebacker Justin March only appeared in one preseason game with the Chiefs before he underwent season-ending surgery for a torn meniscus, but that was all the time March needed to catch the eye of general manager John Dorsey.

When asked Monday for his surprise of camp, Dorsey said it was the 6-foot, 230-pounder from Akron, who recorded four tackles in the Chiefs’ preseason appearance against Arizona.

“It would probably be Justin March,” Dorsey said. “I love the kid. He’s tenacious ... he demonstrated everything you wanted to see.

According to the Akron Football Facebook page, Jim Donovan was in Akron doing some interviews with Jatavis Brown, Cody Grice & Coach Bowden regarding the NFL Draft.  No information about when it might air.  Keep your eyes peeled.
