  2. Hate to trigger but is this Maishe Dailey 2.0?
  3. We'll see what additions we still have added to the roster. My comment was more regarding the current state of the roster. I'm just not sure I see a PF on the roster as of right now (unless I'm missing someone obvious) and recently the Zips have been starting 3 guards, 1 SF, and 1 big. I saw some mention MMK, but we only saw him at the 5 last season and don't see him playing big minutes at the 4 unless he adds ability to score beyond 5 feet from the basket.
  4. I like to think that a former Mr Basketball in Ohio would be able to become a good MAC player. So, I think it's a good addition!
  5. I doubt White will be the starting PF. I look at him as more of a physical 3 & D type.
  6. I think Colin White could be a 3-4 in the MAC. He supposedly has a physical streak in him. This stings Toledo where the fan base wanted him back home. The key now is for White to measure up to his prep credentials as a MAC player.
  7. Just the name makes me cringe. The end of his time with the Zips was not great.
  8. Here's hoping the kid can stay healthy. It's never good when your college highlights video is under 2 minutes.
  9. Helps when you have 2x-3x the amount to spend on players.
  10. Not sure it's that - given a juco signing this could be a "2027 move" as well. Get him a year here and then he starts next year?
  11. So, of course Groce manages to get a 7 footer at his new job. https://247sports.com/player/braden-pierce-46118228/college-346132/
  12. Today
  13. Forsythe was a valuable rotation player.
  14. Currie and Forsythe vibes.
  15. This is probably the hardest team in recent memory to project because there's so many players that we just don't know what we will get. The only things I'm confident in are that Steveskie will start, and that one of Burton/Barre will start (unless we add another big!).
  16. It looks like he suffered a leg injury his freshman year early on and barely played. It required off-season surgery and he attempted to play last year but never found his groove.
  17. Colin White transferring to Akron after two years at Ohio State https://share.google/D6Lid1JKUMvOzJIcP
  18. I would guess Wilson would start over Head. Burton/Barre/MMK probably will be a position battle. I would prefer if we can add another SF/PF, but I would guess Henderson as of now is primary backup for White while also playing a few minutes at SF.
  19. The combos here are a little off I'd imagine and I wouldn't rule out any of the freshman from an impact role until we hear that they're definitely redshirting. This roster will be competitive with the top half of the MAC. I'd imagine the next 2 additions put us at the top.
  20. I'm not as thrilled about this signing as some of you seem. He definitely looks like the favorite (as of now) to start at PF, but even if you multiply his numbers by 3 to adjust his numbers to numbers he would put up in ~26 mpg they seem underwhelming, particularly 3P% and rebound rate. I suppose the hope would be that he was a step too slow and an inch or two too short for the B1G and that water finds it level in the MAC.
  21. Starting to come together...two spots left I believe? White/MMK Halligan/Henderson Burton/Barre Head/Wilson Staveskie/Perkins
  22. Now if only Ford could schedule a home and home!
  23. Maybe Bowen stays
  24. Terrific get. The Ohio State to Akron pipeline continues.
  25. Outstanding pickup!!!
  26. More found on White: White was a top 125 recruit in the 2024 class, and was named as the 2024 Ohio Mr. Basketball. He earned first-team all-state honors as a junior and senior as he led Ottawa-Glandorf to back-to-back state championship game appearances in 2022 and 2023. White joins LeBron James as the only high school players in Ohio to start on a state final four team four consecutive seasons. He was also the first player in Ottawa-Glandorf history to score over 2,000 career points. The Ohio kid dominated the competition as a high school senior en route to winning Mr. Basketball, as he averaged 25.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.6 steals per games and was named the Division-III Northwest Ohio Player of the Year as a junior after averaging 20.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists. White played for Indiana Elite on the AAU circuit and helped the loaded team to a 39-3 record in his final season, averaging 14.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.
