Well not when UMass does something stupid, throws the ball away and allows Miami to get a quick inbounds and score. What an f up.
-
Byers with 3 fouls. Something to keep an eye on.
-
Did not capitalize
-
John Floyd is my favorite ref of all time.
-
They just called a foul on Byers at the buzzer. HIDE THE SPEAKERS! STEELE IS GONNA LOSE IT!
-
Every time I watch this team, I come away stunned that they are undefeated. Steele is almost always whining to the referees. His players follow suit. They don't seem mentally tough at all.
-
John Floyd is reffing. He called the foul on Julius Rollins. He doesn't mess around.
-
In the first half the refs are letting them play. Physical play with few whistles and that benefits Mass. HOwever, would not be surprised if the whistles come fast and furious in the second half to benfit Miami.
-
The time has probably (long long long since, I know) come for Reghi to call it a day.
-
Now that they're actually playing, I want Miami to lose. But, I will not get my hopes up in the first half. I repeat, I will not get my hopes up in the first half.
-
Suder is going to feel that fall tomorrow. UMass has 5 fouls to Miami OH's 3 and the Sweaters can't believe the whistle isn't going their way more lol.
-
UMass is beating them up. They may not beat them, but I like the style of this game so far.
-
Elmer limping. Playing UMass is working.
-
3s aren't falling for either team. Steele might get a T here soon.
-
And then after Miami missed a shot. Got the ball back shot again and missed he stated one and done again for Miami. We missed you Michael. 😊
-
Bettiol is getting whatever he wants inside early.
-
Dat wascawwy Weghi.
-
No reason to show fear. They played them close twice and they're playing on house money. Go get 'em.
-
Nor should they. One of the first possessions for UMass saw a UMass guard body Suder out of the way after Suder pressed up too much. No foul was called and Suder threw his arms up, complaining to the refs. That is literally what Suder does almost every single time he has the ball.
-
I know he said Elmer thought about it, but I swear he actually said Elmer Fudd about it.
-
At the opening, UMass does not appear to have any fear of Miami.
-
Are we sure the award wasn't just for most offensive player?
-
The best part of the first day or the tournament is Michael reghi calling all 4 games

Florida State is bigger than any Big 12 brand. Clemson likely is as well. The Big 12 is the more secure league because they then probably have the next six-eight marketable brands after those two, but not so "marketable" as to be interesting enough to the SEC or B1G. Miami is good at spending on the football, but their brand isn't as big as much of the Big 12. They're heard of, sure, but just don't bring the eyeballs. UNC isn't good at the sport that matters for media dollars, and they don't seem to outwardly care about it. They're not a brand the B1G or SEC would have much interest in until they fix that (which is probably why the weird desperation play for Belichick).
