Every year it is always going to be a new picture with different players. I already miss the bygone years when players entered as frosh and we observed players improve each year. And some players did not improve and transferred out. Players coming to Akron for one year was the exception and not the rule.

Are Abreu and Betancourt still playing? Could be a pretty good PRMNT.

That is such a strange font initially I thought it was for the Greek National team. π€£

Gracias!

For those of you who are not native Spanish speakers. π Forward Enrique Freeman will make his debut with the Puerto Rican national team this summer after confirming his participation, according to president Yum Ramos.

Monroe will drop to 1-2 as Arkansas gets a 45-43 win on the road. So Bowden's first game win might have been because Iowa is awful (they lost 74-22 tonight). We'll see how the last five games go

I missed updating here, good job π Last weekend, the Greenheads lost 44-30 in their home opener to Nebraska (who through two weeks feels like a title contender). Tonight they're back at home against a decidedly not-as-contender Arkansas Diamonds squad. 37-26 Monroe midway through the third https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzJpkPNGK8k

Delaware allegedly made $12M from EA NCAA 2026

This feels more likely. I could see a top team getting $1M but $12M feels excessive. If it's true, though, Sac State is getting $30M next year -
In the last 15 minutes of play, I heard the commentators say : Laryea has had a very good game. Richie Laryea has been outstanding. Richie Laryea has been fanstastic in this game. Not surprisingly, Richie was the highest rated Canadian player....by Sports Illustrated https://www.si.com/soccer/canada-player-ratings-vs-bosnia-herzegovina-canada-collects-first-ever-world-cup-point-6-12-26 LB: Richie Laryeaβ7.9: Ran a marathon down the left wing. Stout defensively and a valuable asset going forward. A strong showing shouldβve been rewarded with a goal, but KolaΕ‘inac denied him with an incredible block near the goal-line.

@Zips1991 Darn. So close, but what a great save by the defender.

Richie was outstanding today. Congratulations to him and the Canadian team. They can win their pod.

He had what looked like a surefire goal cleared off the line. π

Delaware allegedly made $12M from EA NCAA 2026
AkronAlumnus replied to exit322's topic in Akron Zips Football
People are calling it fake news on X and it hasn't been confirmed by the school or athletic department, a $12,000,000 royalty seems a bit outrageous. I did see that Missouri state (69th out of 136 FBS schools in team usage) and UCLA (27th out of 136 FBS schools in team usage) announced at their board of governors meetings that they received over $100,000 and $200,000 so I'd also be curious what UA received. If I had to guess probably under $100,000 but probably still in the top half of teams in the MAC -

They have to be a fairly popular dynasty play just because the team is in that "this'll be fun to try and win with Akron" level.

My first two thoughts when I look at that photo are - I hardly know most of these guys Iβm happy to see Barre isnβt in a walking boot

Look, I think we can all agree that the biggest winner of the 29-point Game 4 comeback is the Game 1 Cavaliers fourth quarter performance.
