  1. Past hour
  2. Evan Miya grades him as an above average offensive player, but below average defender. Rated #53 in the MAC last season overall. Probably a win for both teams. He's better than what Ball State had last season, but a position UMass probably hopes to upgrade if they want to compete at the top of the MAC next year.
  3. Today
  4. I assume Josiah was given a medical redshirt playing only 6 games with Akron. He actually got engaged a few days ago. I saw several Zips players on Instagram share it on their story so they must stay in touch.
  5. There's always eligibility left if only you know where to look.
  6. I didn't know Harris had eligibility remaining.
  7. Josiah Harris in the Portal. Let's see if Dustin can land that plane!
  8. I think it's just a prediction. But the player is intriguing
  9. Whoops, I missed the "predicting" at the top. Removed to avoid confusion.
  10. I don't think we've gotten anything officially. That's just a prediction. Considering the page only has 6k followers and can't even spell the players name correctly it's hard for me to give it much weight.
  11. Edited to remove confusion.
  12. 6'10" 240 lbs big man. Averaged 37.5 mpg, 20.8 ppg, and 15.4 rpg for Southern Wesleyan if I'm reading their website correctly.
  13. Yeah, I think when I looked a few days ago they only had ~300 out of the ~1500 portal players rated. I don't even think they listed Young in the portal until about a week after he declared. It feels there are much better sources out there for listing and ranking portal players. Unfortunately most of them are hidden behind paywalls.

  15. FWIW 247 has Eric as the #138th ranked portal player. Guys around him have committed to Bama, Miss St, Oregon State, Wake Sharron is not ranked in their top 247 Neither was Gillespie, so that may answer the "FWIW" part of this post now that I am typing this out 😆
  16. That’s the gambling equivalent of losing 18 cents in the penny slots.
  17. If I had to guess, it will be posted later in the day to YouTube but not streamed live.
  18. He shot 34% from 3 this season in the G League - not elite, but solid. Iowa had him play the 5, 4, and 3 at different times this season, and he seemed to be most comfortable and effective at the 4. That's my biggest beef with Minnesota - they never really let him get comfortable in one spot this season. I do agree he has a long way to go if teams view him as a 3 in the NBA. His best shot IMO is finding a team who will let him develop as a stretch four. He's a bit undersized there, but I think he can overcome that with his motor.
  19. You can achieve that without an open spring practice. A few years ago they had a concert featuring Soul Asylum and other festivities before a home game. The focus should be on improving the gameday experience, not on a spring practice that maybe a few hundred attend. Most of which are already long-term season ticket holders like @Captain Kangaroo.
  20. I am saying - The Spring Game is a Nothing Burger, and UA is smart to spend their time on events that draw people and not flies. It is a waste of time to promote a nothing-event that no one cares about, and shouldn't care about. Watching a bunch of walk-ons practice is a nothing-event.
  21. So you're saying making effort to involve the community are stupid. Interesting concept, and completely in line with how Akron currently operates.
  22. It doesn't help he's playing out of position. He's being asked to play on the perimeter, which wasn't what made him impactful at Akron. I understand NBA size makes it impractical for him to play him at the 5 unless it's situational. It's just going to be challenging for him to make the NBA long-term (5+ year career) if he's being asked to play SF or stretch 4. He's hindered by the fact he's not 2-3 inches taller.
  23. Spring football is a big "nothing burger" for all but a handful of fans. I'm one of them. Every fall a massive amount of players depart. Portal and HS replacement players don't arrive until the summer. In April there are barely enough guys on campus to fill a 2-deep. Many of the ones that play will be walk-on's and scout teamers...guys that will never see meaningful minutes in September. Kent won the Spring Game Marketing Championship, and will likely sell 2 more season tickets because of it. Great job Golden Flashes. FYI - "Kids Day in The Straight of Hormuz" drew only 6 fewer grammar-schoolers than Kent's Spring Game.
