  2. When searching Google for Big East men's soccer tiebreakers, I came across this cool page on the Big East website. You can enter different results and it will show you the seeding and tell you who wins tiebreakers. https://www.bigeast.com/sports/2026/10/8/MSOC_1008263346.aspx According to this, Creighton would win a head-to-head tiebreaker over Akron due to better record against common conference opponents. However, Akron would win the tiebreaker in a three-way tie with Creighton and Xavier. Tiebreakers are explained at the bottom of the page for those who want to read through them.
  3. Does anyone know what time this game actually starts? GoZips.com says 6 pm and so does the tweet below. But ESPN and the Louisiana website say 8 pm (7 CST).
  4. Zips now control their own destiny in the midwest division. With a win at Villanova tomorrow afternoon, they can reach 12 points after 7 games. Creighton now has 12 points after 7 games.... Georgetown defeated Creighton tonight 5-3. Congratulations to Big East regular season champion Georgetown. Georgetown is now 7-0-0 after 7 games of the Big East regular season.
  5. Yesterday
  6. Georgetown is an amazing offensive juggernaut Creighton scored in the first 4 minutes Georgetown has responded with 4 goals in the next 16 minutes Matthew Van Horne and Mitchell Baker each have 11 goals for the year GT leads 4-1 after 19:58
  7. Another thought - there are 4 walls on the JAR that have been home to all time great coaches. What will they do to include Groce soon enough?
  8. New promo video for the season. Checked FTR thinking there might be something new in store, but nothing that I saw. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1E7nr3Q1Pf/
  9. USL Championship playoffs started tonight. Beto Ydrach started for the Riverhounds (6:30 pm ET ESPN+) Marco Micaletto starting for the Rowdies (7:30 pm ET ESPN+) San Antonio FC (Diogo Pacheco) plays El Paso at 9 pm ET
  10. I can’t think of anyone else worthy of a jersey ceremony, but there are 2 Zips teams that I remember fondly for different reasons and that history won’t be kind to. That very first Groce team was like the land of misfit toys. This forum struggled dealing with losing to teams you hadn’t in quite some time. But the likes of Ivey, Utomi, Duvivier, Sayles, Olojakpoke and Lucas Smith played with a ton of heart. The rebuild had to start somewhere and kudos to those guys for sticking around and giving max effort. And then the Covid team. We will never know for sure, but that could have been the team destined to win a NCAAT game. It was a complete team before the NIL/portal era really took hold. The fact that their resume is forever incomplete is such an injustice.
  11. Definitely Zeke. Two MAC Championships, 2x MAC DPOY, all-time program leader in blocked shots. His stats don't really tell the full story of his impact IMO. Beyond him, I'm not sure. Tavari has the numbers and impact, but not sure that happens after he followed Groce to CoC. Nate Johnson and Amani Lyles probably would have had a shot had they finished here. Ali Ali probably misses out from his year at Butler. Tribble is one of my all-time favorites but doesn't quite have the numbers. Shammah? He played a major role on the 3-peat Zips. His individual stats don't jump out at you compared to others, but I guess Zeke's don't either, aside from blocks. I don't know...Enrique and LCJ were the only slam dunk picks, to me, of modern Zips.
  12. Zeke Marshall.
  13. Not even sure what a lot of these promos even could be. 1/30 is also the day womens basketball hosts Kent State so I would hope that would be a double header as well. I think the women's program, while not MAC contenders, should be improved. It could be a game worth attending. Looking forward to LCJ returning to the JAR. Which Zips player do you guys think is next in line to have a jersey ceremony?
  14. Kentucky's court ruling against the NCAA with some strong, common sense language.
  15. LCJ jersey retirement this year. LONG time coming.
  16. Tipoff Reception tomorrow for those interested in attending. https://x.com/Dustin_Ford/status/2115940480198578606?a=iWcRO6sWU35Zf5ywLBY&s=19
  17. I’m just glad I’m not the first person to make that mistake.
  18. Tavari is officially eligible it seems https://www.instagram.com/p/DfFu4Y3lSDt/?xtok=M3IwbDRmNDl4Z2Zr
  19. Last week
  20. The Ohio Supreme Court kept their stay of the Court of Appeals decision in place today, which allows Evan to play. That could change after they consider the memorandum in support of jurisdiction but he's good for now.
  21. He had a huge family turnout on Tuesday
  22. I haven’t heard anything. Only mention of injury were to Burton & Henderson.
  23. Have they said anything about why Cody Head didn't play against YSU?
  24. Yes. I’m on my phone so typing is kind of a drag, but I’ll try to explain my understanding of the statistics. 7% is the total number of college players. The bottom of that 7% would be playing D3. From the 7% you whittle it down for players with D2 offers (for illustration let’s just say 5% of high schoolers.) From that 5% you whittle it down further for players with FCS offers (let’s just say 2% of high schoolers). And then from that 2% you finally whittle it down to ~>1% receiving FBS offers. You could probably even whittle that ~1% even further if you separated players out w/ P5 offers as opposed to only G6 offers, but I’ve not seen stats on that. Also, if fewer high schoolers are playing football nowadays than in years past that would also affect the percentage b/c the number of available scholarships would remain constant.
