  2. Well, it's a good thing I forgot my phone in the car. It spared you all some profanity laced tirades. In any event, FUUUDDDDDDDDDGGGGGE! 19 turnovers...19 turnovers. Miami had 16 offensive rebounds. I didn't see a lack of effort from the Zips but I did see lots of bad judgment on offense. Frustrating as hell to give one away this late in the season. The Zips also handed Miami a home game to open the MAC tournament, potentially to face our Zips. Virshon got to model his new specs with his fanny never leaving the bench in a game our starting point guard went 1 for 10. The next time Mark Kostelac: 1) tightly guards his man 20 feet from the basket; 2) leaves his damn feet on a simple fake; or 3) puts the ball on floor near the basket rather than going up strong, I WILL LOSE MY DAMN MIND. P.S. I'm a little pissy.

  4. I thought the key to our win in Bowling Green were the points from guys other than Duvivier, Ivey and Utomi. Lucas Smith, Klac, Gbadebo, Parish and Patton. They each played good defense and collectively scored 27 points. That is a first for this team, where everyone contributed to a win. It is difficult to compete when only 3 players control the ball and do all the scoring. The above guys may be frosh and walkons, but for this team to compete they have to touch the ball, make offensive moves to the basket and shoot the ball. The highlight of this approach was Gbadebo shooting a 3 without hesitation because he was open. Klac posting up and making an offensive move. Smith scored 9 points. That was a career high. If we can get some consistent scoring from this group we should be able to compete in every game. Go Zips!!!

  5. unfortunately we have no choice but to assume the most likely scenario with no coverage of the team. I hope and believe you're right in that its not as bad as it appears. I'm not sure there is a good way in spinning getting zero minutes when dressed on a team with only 6 other scholarship players, however.

  7. Count your blessings, at least for today's game. Oh, and I'd take anyone's word over Spectrum's.

  8. I concur with Jackie Windon, that second half Miami played to win and the Zips played not to lose. The Zips, as Jackie put it, "were playing east-to-west."

  14. Miami started to turn it up at the end of the first half. We haven't necessarily dropped our effort level, but we aren't moving the ball on offense. And Bo Borowski has officially showed up. Awful and-1 call.

  15. Time for Virshon to grow up and get himself out of the doghouse and for the mental aspects of the game to start catching up to the physical for Parrish.

  16. I'm excited! Central lost last night which helps. Also, enjoyed seeing Ball State lose at home. Cardinals were the victim of a questionable foul call late in the game. I wept.
