  2. Jack Fuller set to kick for Zips Fuller, who was a three-time All-Portage Trail Conference selection in soccer and football, becomes the fourth Coventry player to sign with Akron in recent years, alongside Devon Jones, former teammate Dusty Burkhart and fellow Class of 2018 member Treon Sibley.

  3. Having Antino might have added a few regular season wins, but at the end of the day we still wouldn't have had the depth nor talent at the bigs to compete this season.

  4. Three. They currently have a daughter, Mila, and a son, Kingston, I believe.

  8. If getting to the dance was indeed his goal, he certainly had a better chance of doing it where he ended up then he would have with the Zips in a transition year.

  9. I doubt they would practice at Canal Park.

  11. This is the 3rd editorial by Michael Douglas, et al, that questions President Wilson. He must be drinking buddies with Matt Becker, who is still upset that U of A wasn't renamed Poly U.

  12. I know for a fact YSU does, and I'm 99% sure Kent, OU and Miami do.. Knowing YSU does, I would be very surprised if most teams in the MAC weren't at 11.7 or very close to it. I've heard that possibly 5 would be UA funded and any additional amounts would come from sponsors.. so let's hope there are some sponsors lined up. These are just from my baseball connections, no UA sources so some here may know more than me on this

  13. Being a non-revenue sport, I'd be shocked if all other MAC baseball schools offered the full 11.7 scholarships.

  14. Speaking of game changers: I'll repeat some of what I've said recently on this board. In the short term, I'm just hoping that Hester immediately becomes that 15 ppg scorer that we will need to replace Duvivier's production. I believe he's the best talent out of all of the guys who started play with us last year, and will start next year. And that Riak can at least equal what we'll get in the paint from Sayles and Poke (if he returns) next year. If we can get those two things, we'll be a better team. Then I can move on to hoping that we get a new impact recruit to come here soon.

  15. Cotton started jawing with the Kent bench around the under 4 minute time out. I didn't see if someone bumped him or what prompted it, but he was right by the Kent team as they set their little chairs on the court. He got into it again at the next time out as he ran over to the Kent bench to jaw some more on his way to our bench. He just would not let it go. Eventually, Ivey kept him away from the Kent players to avoid a technical. When De la Rosa fouled out and lost his mind he started yelling at everyone, especially Cotton. After the game, as teams were lining up one of the Zips asst coaches pulled Cotton aside and spoke to him; however, he was still fired up. De la Rosa was not going to let it go and we are lucky nothing more serious happened. Both coaching staffs should have probably sent their problem children to the locker room to avoid a dust up during the handshake. I did not see what prompted the Kent asst. coach to flip out, but as usual Senderoff did nothing to contain his team. Great win for the Zips and congrats to Malcolm and Rec Center on going out with a huge W in their last home game. It was great to hear they are both working on degrees and have plans beyond hoops. It was such as good night that I am not bringing up anything K-lac related.

  16. That sucks. I still can't believe we never went dancing during Kwan & Big Dog's 4 years.
