Credit where credit is due. The Dukes beat VCU for the first time EVER tonight, 80-77 in OT.3 points

I wonder what Groce and this team are thinking, after beating Buffalo without Cheese and Ohio without LCJ for nearly half the game. Incredible efforts in back to back games, and I really, REALLY hope we take it to Can't and knock the teeth out of their stupid bird. By the way, I think Groce likes coaching here. Who knows if he'll stay long term, how long he'll stay, etc., but I think the mid-major stage is where he thrives. Overall just a great guy and a phenomenal coach. What a job he has done in under 3 seasons at the helm. Akron Basketball is BACK! Go Zips!3 points

Groce mentioned last night how he got a supersoaker to make sure he was ready for these occasions. LOL. Dunn mentioned on the post-game that the kids on the team seemed to enjoy Groce cutting down the nets more than anyone. I think that says something.2 points

This is a TEAM. Very fun to see them have fun. They've earned it. They've been really fun to watch all season and are an easy group to root for.2 points

I can't bring myself to say I respect Can't, but damnit I wish our marketing department would follow suit on this. Build that rivalry. Make it something even more special in the region, and broadcast it. Cincy/Columbus soccer has the Hell is Real rivalry and that caught on quickly. Build this rivalry up like that.1 point

Another reason to hate them (although honestly I give them a tiny bit of credit for this one), on their official football schedule for next year we are listed as TSDTR (That School Down The Road ?)1 point

Better than Sophie's choice. ? And losing to Kent is never worth any perceived reward. I want total annihilation of PCCC so that they decide not to even bother with Cleveland. I want Mr. Pinky to be a brilliant shade of bright red all game. I want to hit them so hard that their future children will reconsider playing.1 point

If Tribble develops his jumpshot in the off season, he will be a star. The kid can jump out of the gym.1 point

He is really coming into his own these last few games. He seems much more confident on both sides of the ball.1 point

Wow, one of the most exciting JAR games in a long while. Fantastic defense by the Zips in the second half. First half D was sketchy, but they cranked it up in the second half. OU scored 50 in the first half and 17 in the second. OU went after LCJ tonight. I think we'll see a lot of that from here on in. Great halftime adjustments by Groce and staff.1 point

OU had 61 with 14:19 minutes left. They scored 6 points those last 14 minutes.1 point

How did we win that? How did we hold them to 17 second half pts? How did we clinch the 1 seed? Ohio sucks. What a night. To BobcatAttack I go. Hehe.1 point

How about we have LCJ stand out and shoot three pointers and have Xeyrious Williams drive to the basket?1 point

This is going to be a wild ride in the MAC Tournament. I can make an argument for any of the top 9 going on a run and winning it. Certainly, some arguments are stronger than others, but it is wide open.0 points
