He makes money from an organization that takes a small fortune from a country, China, that literally has slave camps where an ethnic minority Muslim group is forced to work and he says nothing about it.2 points

I personally wouldn’t want anything to do with Lebron. Absolutely loved him at one time for bringing a championship to Cleveland & for all things he has done for the Akron community. It’s not that he left and went to Cali but that he went to Cali & got all woke. He drives me nuts anymore2 points

I hope that you root for your son's alma mater, unless they are playing the Zips and you are an alumuns. I am rooting for Cincinnati to make the CFP, but it is highly unlikely under any scenario. And I will root for all of the MAC schools in bowl games. All MAC wins only elevate the conference.2 points

Even bigjim might like me after this one. Early in my marriage to Akron's finest, we were at one of her brother's homes. He has a dog named, you guessed it, Buckeye. Well, I taught him to answer to Buckwheat. The dog would be in the other room and I would call "Here, Buckwheat" and he would just come running and tail-wagging. The BIL hated it so I didn't do it often, but we all knew that I had a good one just waiting to be used.2 points

Credit to them for traveling to here, playing in the cold on our field and notching the win to advance.2 points

This is football. Lets get off someone who has no connection to UofA football. He is in L LAY. He can stay there!1 point

Was at the game. Did not expect the Zips to win but expected a little more of a competitive game. The defense wa the usual warm bucket of spit it has been all season. Can't tackle, can't get off blocks, can't pressure the passer. All Kwho had to do was run, run, run. Can't tackle the ball carrier. And, they are totally based on play action and the O-line zone blocking. All of the coaches and players on that side of the ball should start looking elsewhere immediately! Was surprised the Offense could not at least put up a few points. Kwho is not a great D. I watched at different times from both end zones. What I saw was an O-line that can't pass block, saw receivers who couldn't create separation! That was big. Then Gibson started holding the ball too long. Kwho is fast on D but should be vulnerable to the run.(see CMU). Think there is some retainable talent on the O side. Not so much on the D. Again, wait until next year.1 point

I agree, It’s hypocritical but I don’t want to get into a political debate, those are never good with people on keyboards1 point

Seconded. Most pitiful effort I’ve seen in a while. Couldn’t even score against a team that gave up 70 to WMU, 60 to CMU, 50 to NIU? If we lost 38-0 to Notre Dame, sure I get it. But we looked absolutely lost against the worst team possible.1 point

You are still watching? Anyone connected or affiliated with Arth needs to be "cleansed" from this program. When the bus arrives back from Toledo, their should be some of those JAR ushers with packed buses awaiting the staff.1 point

This team is not better than the team that lost to PCCC in Arth's first year. That's the simplest reason he had to go. Good news for the season ticket holders. You won't have to suffer through another of these this year!1 point

It merely takes competency to win in the MAC. JD was a competent coach and won the MAC. Bowden was competent and won a bowl game. In 2021 we aren't as far from winning as you might think.1 point

Like Akron football already is? Nearly three-decades of nothing but resume padders. Just because someone can talk-the-talk, doesn't mean crap about whether or not it has objective value or not. Perhaps that's why there are so many problems. Too many talkers, almost no provers.1 point

The Zips may have the worse collective offensive and defensive lines in D1 FBS football.1 point

I'd say it's in a worse spot. Out football program is obviously bad, but even in our worst years we wouldn't lose to Walsh University. That's pretty much what WMU just did in basketball.1 point

More like if people didn't over react to one season, and actually appreciated what Akron Football could be in reality versus delusions of grandeur.1 point

Nonsense. Akron outshot SC 17-3, 4-3 OG, 9-0 corner kicks, all while fouling less, 6-14.1 point

Want the best fit in the 2022 class? That is Lyons Township point guard Tavari Johnson to Akron. The ball screen genius fits in perfectly to John Groce’s system. The Zips pursued him as aggressively as anyone went after a recruit in July and got him to sign on the dotted line making his commitment official. This is the kind of guard that wins games in the NCAA Tournament!1 point

5+ years of true mediocrity would start to warm the seat. They've been in and out of the top 10/25 all season, and have wins over multiple top teams. The only Top 10 Akron Football finishes in is the ESPN Bottom Ten.1 point

The Zips head into the Glass Bowl on the 27th to bring a merciful end to this season. The Rockets are 6-5 and will be coming off of an 11 day break following their fun with Tuesday night football.0 points
