Just killing some time here this a.m.... In another thread it was speculated that with Bo Nix transferring to Oregon, it could increase the likelihood that a current Oregon QB may decide to transfer to UA w/ JoeMo. According to ourlads dot com the current Oregon QB depth chart is: 1. Anthony Brown (Sr.) 2. Ty Thompson (Fr.) 3. Jay Butterfield (Fr.) 4. Robby Ashford (Fr.) Other QB's currently on Oregon's roster include A.J. Abbott and Bradley Yaffe These guys are likely playing at their dream school, but I guess the tough question is whether you actually want to get PT, or not? Once your football days are over, they're over. It's not like former baseball players playing beer-league softball or former basketball players playing pickup ball at the Y for the rest of your life. Additionally, I feel DJ Irons could be an excellent RPO QB in JoeMo's system. But anytime you might be able to add a QB who was offered by Oregon... Plus, with the graduation of Kato & the transfer of Gibson, we have no idea what any of our other current roster QB's really bring to the table.

Buffalo hasn't had a great OOC start, but they'll be at the top or very near it at the end of the season. I expect OU, Toledo, Akron and PCCC to press them. BG may sneak into the pack at some point but will fade as usual.

Their web site also has a piece about why it was a mistake to fire him at MSU. They rightly point out that he had done pretty well at a historically tough place to win and there was no guarantee that whoever replaced him would do better. Joe went 14-12 in his two years there. The following two years? They went 11-12. Thank you MSU :-)

Fun listen. Joe seems to have a lot on his mind about what happened in Starkville, it would be awesome to have a few beers with him and hear all of those stories. Not a ton of UA stuff in this interview, it just got me more and more pumped that we hired a total badass head coach that is well respected everywhere in college football.

I'd imagine Ty Thompson is out of our league, even with JoeMo here. Butterfield is from Cali, so he might stay West Coast. Robby Ashford is from Alabama so coming back east might be intriguing. All 3 are some of the top QBs in the country. Pretty incredible QB room.

Obviously I'd love for us to get Thompson, Butterfield or Ashford, but we'd be more likely to get one of the "other" QB's if we get any of them based on star ratings of the top guys and where they are from.

The MAC is looking like an absolute powerhouse this year. 1. Ohio 2. Toledo 3. Akron 4. Everyone else. 5. Central Michigan. Edit: This is 100% sarcasm, @NWAkron. The MAC sucks aside from potentially OU, Toledo, and Akron.

This years already pretty picked over at the high school level and Akron needs players that can help them immediately. I'd expect 80% of this years recruits to be transfers and juco players.

This makes me wonder, what happens to the student(s) that tested positive. They were already out in Vegas and they were letting them just fly right home separately from Vegas for Christmas. Do the players just quarantine at some Vegas hotel while the rest of the team goes on home? Very odd and unfortunate circumstances for something that would have been a very cool event for the program
