  1. Nope. Never. Go in timeout (which for you is enjoying 80 degree weather on the beach...).

  2. I don't understand how someone 7 foot tall that plays collegiate hoops can airball a shot from 3 feet away

  3. How does this happen every single game..

  4. Is it a dumb question to ask if people tailgate for the Spring Game? I got some new tailgating stuff I'm really wanting to use LOL.

  5. He is somewhat like Deng Riak from what I have seen, he has the ability to make a shot, he just has a slow release. Though that is mostly just from warmups, I wouldn't be surprised if he develops a longer range shot soon.

  6. The Zips open the season a little later than last year, traveling to Nashville for a 3 game weekend series against Lipscomb. The Bisons were 8-13 (18-29) finishing 6th in the D1 Atlantic Sun Conference. The ASC is not a baseball powerhouse so this should be a good warmup series before facing Georgia and Louisville. Theres quite a few additions to the roster this year, with not many players leaving. A refreshing change from Season One where a coach went rogue and took his favorite players with him. All systems are “go” so far for having a 2022 MAC Baseball Tournament for the first time in two years. CMU was the last tournament champion. Here’s a video to watch while waiting for warmer weather, featuring a MAC opponent. https://d1baseball.com/d1-players-society/maction-a-day-in-the-life-with-ball-state-baseball/

  7. LOL!!! I didn't say it was OK, that was just my introduction to rabid rivalries. So being in high school and climbing and painting the rival's water tower overlooking their stadium the night before a game seemed normal. Legendary. That was a much different time in sports. Not better in any way, but different.

  8. Interestingly ... from reading other boards the consensus around the league is the who thing was good pub -- no harm no foul, although surprised there seemed to be more negative reaction to Zip fans than Kent players. Haven't been around long enough but evidently in years past Zips players/fans had a gnarly rep with some schools around the league. Guessing the Hipsher years.

  9. I see what you’re saying……but no God please no!!! That dude is a program-changer. A glue guy if there ever was one. Plus, I don’t know if he has the skill set yet to be a top 2-3 player on a team at this level. A good point by you though, and something to watch for.

  10. Groce probably believes in him, but he has to play him. He has no other 3 pt options. Jesus Take the Wheel situation.

  11. Browns fans threw Steeler fans into urinals, so this is okay. That's some NEO logic there

  12. 1) It's more like #16 at the WM Open. 2) That's simply called "sending them home." Ironically, KSUcks people live there as well.

  13. I was at the game with my boys, man when we started out going o’fer while they put up a double digit lead, the Flushes set the tone. And the Zips never dug out. We caught back up at one point then blew chunks again. As far as the rivalry and the student behavior, they’re 18-22 year old males. What’s the age of maturity? This wasn’t a PGA tournament at Firestone. Some fans forget what it’s like to have a rivalry. I saw Steeler fans thrown into the urinal (trough) at the old Cleveland Stadium by grown mem. I think it’s refreshing that students (however immature they may be) take such an interest in Zips Athletics, something we’ve been hoping for since I attended there. Hell we painted our rivals water tower the night before a rivalry game while they were killing the grass at our high school BITD. That would be “vandalism” and “criminal damaging” now.

  14. They could play right away as a grad transfer though, assuming they've graduated. I doubt Wynn will be back

  15. Yep, he was one of the last minute recruits to help keep things afloat. I will always have find memories of walk-on Lucas Smith who at about 6'5" had to all too often play in the post for that team. I believe that was also the year Olajapoke had his health issues forcing them both into extra duty.

  16. No panties in our shantys! All sorts of ice fishing related drink specials around town last night. We have the “Tom Wistercill” of mayors in our town.

  17. Interesting. I've typed up 3 different reply posts to this but didn't post any of them because I'm so far from figuring this team out that I just don't know what to think. A month ago we were set on Wynn being an obvious transfer candidate, but he's been playing better lately, is one of only 2 true wing players we have (along with Ali) and Trimble's shooting's been ice cold & he's a liability on defense. I truly have no idea. Are we looking to bring Seny on? (I must reiterate that I only think that's who I saw at the game... but I'm pretty sure.) That would give us 4 post players in Freeman, Aziz, Kalle, and Seny - none of which seem to be stretch post players. I wish we were privy to some practice sessions or, better yet, scrimmages.
