  1. Hankerson had 17 and Kobe was given a lot of quality minutes.

  2. I recall when Charlie Frye came to UA, his best HS receiver came along for a couple years. I don't think he ever played, but I'm sure having a familiar face from his hometown come to Akron was nice. Smith seems like an athlete. The coaches wouldn't bring him half way across the country if they didn't feel he could be a player one day. I look forward to seeing what he's got to offer.

  4. For all you Boones Farm and Night Train fans out there, fortified wines under $5 per bottle don’t count.

  5. This game should go in the win column for the Zips. Basile is tearing it up for Virginia Tech and, at Ohio State, while Holden has spent most of the time as a sub. He does get into games and just got done sinking the winning 3-pointer against Rutgers with virtually no time left on the clock. With those two still at Wright State I believe the Raiders would beat the Zips; without them the Raiders are looking a lot like a 500 ball club. Their center plays soft and on offense for most of the game they play 4 on 5!!! Their coach just loves a guard named Norris who, if things go as they have for most of this season, is very reluctant to shoot. Perhaps that's just as well because both Calvin and Davis are gunners that take enough shots for four guys.

  6. So many beer posts on ZipsNation over the years…could this be the first wine shout out? Glad someone else thinks Yellowtail is the benchmark for bottom-end wines! 🤮

  12. 29 point lead down to 14. JSU lot more energy. Things was JSU was never shooting badly. Zips were just lights out. Now it's reversed.

  13. Even though Tavari makes a few of those head scratching freshmen mistakes each game, he's still a better option to have on the floor than the alternative. Hopefully with more experience by February and March those mistakes become fewer and fewer.

  14. MSU Bulldogs debuted (I think) in the poll this week at #23. At 8-0, they're a 7.5 pt pick on the road at Minniesota today. Our performance was well within the standard deviation. They might well end up an eight seed or better, i.e., top half of the bracket.
