  1. $10 is insane considering that's the cheapest event parking I've seen outside Akron in years

  2. No idea about this kid specifically but people have to realize that the majority of kids…not all…that hit the portal are told to look elsewhere by the coaching staff. This isn’t just at Akron, but everywhere across the country kids are having their year end exit interviews with their coaches. It’s a massive “trade in” time for coaching staffs. If they feel they are replaceable they tell them to move on. The portal has made college football an even more ruthless business than it was previously.

  3. True. On the flip side he’s one injury away from either being the top backup or starter depending how things shakeout. I’d rather him stay and compete, but at the same time as long as Tibesar is coaching/recruiting the LBs, it’s not a position I’m worried about.

  4. These are highlights for a reason. They're not going to share any bad film when trying to find a new home. But my frustration continually grows with this staff for sticking with Undercuffler and Tahj. Casual football fans could tell you those two just don't have it. Dijon's mechanics look horrid, but so did Lamar Jackson's at Louisville. Playmakers come in all shapes, sizes, and mechanics. He throws a nice ball. Hope he finds what he's looking for.

  5. These are important games and we should play them every year. I'd love replacing Buffalo with BG. Only one is a rival.

  6. They yanked the parking passes from the GA season ticket holders. I'm not sure about the blue chair folks. They also closed the northeast entrance. Clarky is NOT happy.

  8. I’m leaning toward this as well. The opportunity to foster another one or two yearly rivalry games. Add in a ‘challenge’ with the Sunbelt Conference & you’ve got a nice yearly schedule.

  10. I really want to thank Akron Zips women's soccer....for publicizing all of their new recruits that signed on signing day (November 8th) Publicizing the signees...is a great way to keep the fan base interested during the off season I believe that this is another new signee...that we have not seen.... Elisabeth Rupp plays for the Minnesota Thunder in the prestigious ECNL. The 2nd link says that Ms. Rupp started every game in her 4 year high school career for Eden Prairie, MN. https://www.instagram.com/p/CzZi80FPvAN/ https://www.newsbreak.com/eden-prairie-mn/3155668800743-ep-soccer-captains-have-talent-experience Rupp, who has started every game during her four-year varsity career, has more options to move up into the play in her senior year. Always a force on offense with her throw-ins and corner kicks, she is making more runs from the back this season. “It is fun to get up in the field this year,” she said. But Rupp’s first priority is still defense. “We know how to shut them down,” she said.

  13. I'd love 9 conference games. The Sun Belt and Big 10 both have 9. The MAC is a good league with entertaining games. Have some confidence in the product and play each other.

  18. I like Joe too. He does a very good job with little support. His comments are informed and positive despite being given little to be positive about. He loves the Zips. Any criticism of him is based on style and not substance. He's unique, he's ours and I am glad to have him.

  19. I love Joe Dunn. He's one of us. Plus, I think he does a good job. I don't know how he's remained so positive and optimistic through all these years.

  21. Makes sense. I would imagine Beamer is a bit more professional, too, and isn't riding motorcycles with a side chick he hired as a staff member.
