  1. St Mary's finally lost, by four to Arizona St. Now 7-1. As a side note, in that I deal with some foreigners sometimes, this is why English sucks. State, Street and Saint all have the same abbreviation. 🤣

  5. In all seriousness about OSU losing, there is one truth..... OSU is spending far too much money on players and coaches to be getting the results they are getting. Ryan Day will get the blame, but he didn't miss two extremely easy FGs. Now that the money is above the table and in high volume, it's time sports fans put the blame on failure on players when they deserve it. There are 18-23 year olds playing in the NHL and MLB who take a lot of heat from fan and the media when they fail. It's time we treat college players like the pros they are. High level college football is no longer amateur. It's professional. Time for fans start acting like it.

  6. Seeing OSU gear everywhere is usually annoying. But on Saturday, the fact that all of those people were miserable makes me happy. Especially since 99% of them didn't attend that school and are just frontrunners.

  8. Yep, and yet another rebuild, the Zips 6th in 20 years. I'm sure a bunch of quality candidates would sign up for that.

  9. Looking at the group allegedly in consideration, Zips landed a grand slam and dodged some bullets with Groce

  10. There is no question that our pass rush sucks; however personnel may not be the only problem. Even in obvious passing situations, we were reluctant to rush 5. Were we trying to protect a weak secondary? This is a chicken or egg dilemma. Catdaddyp has repeatedly pointed out the stark difference in completion percentages when under pressure. Maybe next year, we will trust our man coverage, and commit more to the rush.

  11. Another reminder that preseason polls are a joke and a poison.

  12. After losing 80-45 to UC San Diego, Toledo lost to Oakland 85-52. Rumor has it Kowalchoke is trying some reverse jinx strategy - sucking in November instead of March. It's a bold strategy cotton; let's see if it pays off for him.

  13. Lost two games by a total of 11 points mid season. Maybe better scheduling gets one more win. Maybe confidence and momentum from that one more win results in winning one more MAC game. Maybe Akron goes bowling. Lots of maybes, but they don't count as actual wins.

  14. There was one pub (wish I could remember, maybe from SoCal) said that he was offered the job. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

  17. You’re correct. Nunnally, Adler, and Richards are all seniors. However, Nunnally hardly played his freshman year and could apply for a redshirt to return as a redshirt senior. I’m with you, I like the potential Dall and Cheatom possess. That said, I’d like to see us land someone with the similar pass rushing ability as Nunnally. Our pass rush has consistently been close to the bottom of the conference.

  19. I think it's all an indicator of the nature of Groce. He adapts to what he has rather than trying to pound square pegs into round holes. He has shooters and depth now, so it's off to the races with lots of three pointers. Last year, he had a dominant post player and not much depth and he slowed it down and played inside out. In Groce I trust.

  20. UC Irvine is 7th nationally in defensive efficiency. Not that I don't enjoy making fun of Kent, but some credit to Irvine is deserved too

  21. Akron is currently ranked #3 in the country in 3 point attempts per game. We also rank... #1 in FG attempts per game #4 in 3P made per game #16 in offensive rebounds per game #8 in assists per game Groce wants more. (do not look at our defensive rankings)
