  2. I'm happy for all of the guys that made the teams but I think I am happiest for Shammah. I can't imagine it is easy to be that talented yet not start. Instead of sulking Shammah knows and relishes his role and excelled in it. It's also obvious that he has worked hard on his game.

  3. The two of them have no prayer against a team of five.

  4. From the ticket office: "We will be in sections 103-107 for Thursday. And then 106/107 for Friday Saturday" They used to make that information available to the public a number of years ago. The process has basically stayed the same, but a single session on Thursday and renumbering of the sections when the arena was renovated make it confusing. Since Zips are #1 seed I'm pretty sure we are in the same area every game. Large demand in later rounds may add to that a bit.

  6. Nate got the award by being the best player on the best team and being solid across the board in the MAC: * 17th in scoring * 20th in rebounds per game * 16th in field goal percentage * 16th in assists per game * 5th in assist to turnover ration * 24th in blocks per game * 3rd in steals Another stat indicative of his play and the Zips depth is that he was the top Zip in minutes yet only 19th in the conference.

  14. Any MAC coach would or should want him on their team. Frankly, any of the Zips top ten would be a benefit to them. You wonder how a player like Nate would flourish without this staff and teammates.

  16. His case was certainly helped by the fact there weren't really any outstanding in the MAC this year. Miami was the 2nd best team in the MAC and, like Akron, their strength was depth. If you're not on one of the top 2-3 teams you're just not going to win the award.

  25. If we make the final again, pretty likely we get one of the four again. I wouldn't mind a 2007 revenge game. 😉

  29. Well, doesn't that figure/suck! Just as soon as Ohio turns the clock, they schedule the Zips and BeeGees at 5 a.m. in my time zone! That sounds like a midweek ESPN MAC football game! Wake me at halftime?
