  1. Enrique is active again in tonight's game that just started. Let's see if he gets any minutes!
  2. It's also worth noting that OU was without Javan Simmons (former Toledo player) in the last game and postgame Boals said "not sure if he'll be able to go" when referring to the Akron game. Also, guard Elijah Elliott has been out since earlier this month. Sounds like he may be back for this game but it's hard to tell. He averages 22 per game.
  3. I know Athens is a tough place to play and we've lost the last 3 games there, as you said. But Ohio is also #223 in the NET Rankings (9th in the MAC), so it really should be and needs to be a win. As for the betting odds, the opening spread and O/U are exactly the same as the Buffalo game...Zips favored by 8.5 with an O/U of 169.5
  4. If it's on ESPNU, you can watch it on the ESPN app with a TV provider login, or if you have the new ESPN Unlimited.
  5. First time active this year. One step at a time! We need to get a blow out while they still have some injuries so he can get some minutes.
  6. I missed that, must've been after I got out of the car. But they did just say that to begin the espn broadcast.
  7. Coach Groce said in the radio Pregame that Sharron is available tonight while Chabi is 1-2 weeks away still.
  8. I'll be honest, I didn't know there was a set max number of games. I just kinda thought everyone played around 30.
  9. I missed that one, good catch.
  10. The DB/CB commits are rolling in quick!
  11. Just saw shootaround photos on IG and Sharron was involved. Doesn't mean he's playing today but it's a good sign for the near-term.
  12. I hadn't thought of the potential of getting attendance from those in the area for the holidays. But it's also tough to find teams to schedule during the holidays as there's simply fewer games being played. Most games during that week between Christmas and New Year's seem to be against non-D1 teams.
  13. Kent opened as 1.5 point favorites against Miami for tonight's game but that has since flipped and Miami is 1.5 point favorites. A Kent win is best for us in terms of a potential regular season title but it also means Kent would beat a top 25 team which you never want to see.
  14. I won't pretend to know much about Buffalo. I've watched them a couple times for a few minutes here and there. I do know they have a pretty good offense and with our suspect defense, any good offense concerns me a bit. I also know Freitag is obviously their best player so we'll need to contain him and make others beat us.
  15. I would think it would definitely cut out at least one non-D1 opponent because we usually play one late in December around NYE and there would almost certainly be a conference game around that time now. Not sure how long the agreement with the SBC is but if that might be ending, it would be a good time to expand to 22 games. Maybe we just kick UMass out (act like they were never here) and have 11 teams, play everyone twice for 20 games. 😆
  16. I saw somewhere that there's a good chance that the MAC goes to a 22 game schedule next season. Home and away against the other 11 teams.
  17. I was sort of expecting him to get transferred back to Minnesota after seeing he was inactive last night for Iowa. Let's hope for the best!
  18. Akron currently favored by 8.5 points with an O/U of 169.5
  19. I miss the days of the number 1 seed getting a bye into the semi final. It might have been the 1 and 2 seed actually but I remember the 1 seed used to get a bye to the semi finals. And that was when it was a 12 team (4 round) tournament so it was even more of an advantage than it would be now.
  20. I believe the portal deadline has passed now. Players can no longer enter the portal but those who did enter can still commit to a new school if they haven't yet. Is that right?
  21. He does seem to be moving okay as far as walking goes so it doesn't appear it would be long term.
  22. Yes, and Poffenbarger had better stats at Albany than Undercuffler did during his time there. So that's a good sign if nothing else.
  23. I assume not, but has anyone heard an update on Sharron?
  24. Most likely. There would be no reason for a Kent player to bet on their team covering the spread, as you can't really guarantee covering a spread as much as you can NOT covering the spread.
  25. I think they'll settle into the 5-6 seed but then get eliminated on the first day in Cleveland. So, a pretty normal season for them. I do think they're better than recent years but the league is a little deeper this year so the result may end up looking the same as usual.
