  1. I asked the ticket office about this for basketball and they said you can contact them to re-use an unused ticket, even after the unused event has occurred. Just email Matthew and he'll get it handled.
  2. His deep dive did worry me a bit when I saw it. But I think it's putting too much weight on our non-conference play, particularly the losses to Indy and Temple. Due to those being two months ago, I think the committee will let us slide a little on those. Especially since we closed the season so strong.
  3. I'm kinda just assuming that UCLA is going to get in based on name recognition. But with us being 4 spots above the line, I think we'll still be okay.
  4. Furman wins 2-0...WVU wins on PKs. With the results, Akron stayed at #34. Ahead of UNCG at #35.
  5. Looks like it's likely gonna be penalties for WVU and Marshall (5 minutes left in 2nd OT), which would count as a draw for record and RPI purposes.
  6. Exactly. I keep finding myself wondering how we're even close to the cut line but then I have to remind myself about those back-to-back losses. Hopefully the committee keeps in mind that those matches were over two months ago and not reflective of our current form.
  7. I saw they were doing free parking and free admission. Combine that with a title game against your rival and it's a good recipe for a big crowd.
  8. Charlotte wins it in OT, keeping the Zips 4 spots above the projected cut line with all but the Big 10 title game completed.
  9. Cal is ineligible because they have a losing record against D1 teams. They played one non-D1 team.
  10. Princeton extends their lead to 2-0. Would have been nice to have Penn win as it would've likely moved Akron back ahead of Princeton in RPI, but since they're already ahead of us, at least we'll stay 4 above the cut line.
  11. Halftime scores: Charlotte 1, FIU 1 Vermont 0, Bryant 0 Princeton 1, Penn 0
  12. Definitely outside of the top 16 but how far is really unsure because the committee usually tries to keep geographical proximity in mind.
  13. Early in these games, but outside of the Dayton match that was already mentioned as going in the Zips favor so far, two other ongoing matches are currently going against Akron...Princeton up 1-0 on Penn and FIU up 1-0 on Charlotte...Vermont and Bryant are still scoreless.
  14. The way I'm looking at it, according strictly to RPI and nothing else, we're four spots ahead of the cut line with 3-4 potential "steals" left. Tomorrow, we'll want: Dayton over Saint Louis Vermont over Bryant Charlotte over FIU Penn over Princeton (If Princeton lose, we'd also likely jump them in the RPI and be 5 spots ahead of the cut line.) So things are looking good, but for some extra comfort, we could use the games above going the right way.
  15. Not sure what caused it but looks like Akron has jumped back ahead of NC State, moving from #35 to #34. Really need Hofstra to hold on to this 1-0 lead here though.
  16. What is the importance of the San Diego and Oregon State games? Those are not conference tournament games, as the WCC doesn't have a conference tourney from what I see at a quick glance.
  17. Two very important games to watch today as TennZip said. If both go the right way for us (Denver and Hofstra wins), the Zips will be close to guaranteed a spot, in my opinion.
  18. Princeton may now be in even if they lose the title game. But, with a loss, they would likely fall back behind Akron? I'm thinking they'd fall to about 35-37 with a loss.
  19. As of 7:30 PM on Friday, we have moved up to #33 (not sure who we passed). We also got a good result with Penn beating Brown. If Cornell beats Princeton later tonight, that will prevent a "stolen" automatic bid and ensure that the Ivy League only gets two bids instead of three. Big West title game is 10 PM tonight and we'll want UCSB to win to keep the Big West as a one bid league.
  20. I looked at all of this information independently last night before you posted this and came to roughly the same conclusion about the conference tourneys... There's about 7 tournaments we need to keep an eye on. And as long as 4 or more of them go our way, we should be in. Considering we're rooting for favorites, we have a good chance of that happening.
  21. Excellent breakdown and gives some clarity on our situation. Should we view Fordham's situation of losing to a high RPI and staying in the same ranking as something we could expect if we lost to Georgetown tomorrow? I hate to keep bringing up the possibility of a loss but I'm naturally pessimistic. LOL If so, we would be in with a loss but would likely be on the road in the first round. A win and we are likely at least home in the first round, if not into a first round bye.
  22. We would probably stay above that line even with a loss on Thursday, I would think. Considering the high RPI of Georgetown.
  23. So, with the win last night, do you guys think we're guaranteed a NCAA tourney spot even if we were to lose to Georgetown on Thursday?
