A couple of favorable matchups for the Zips in the case that they draw on Friday, as Providence has a tough match and UConn and Seton Hall play each other. Gives the Zips a good chance to make it in with a draw. But obviously we want the division title!

Four teams tied at 13 points, only two of the four can make the conference tournament. Of course, if the Zips win on Friday, they win the division and get the #2 seed automatically.

Farrell (not Remi) replaces Ferguson. Anyone know if Remi is injured?

Thanks to some favorable results from Akron opponents earlier tonight, the Zips moved up from #14 to #12 in the RPI. Closing out the regular season with two wins should get us a top 16 seed (and first round bye).

I've been debating it and think a tie between Creighton and SHU is best also. However, if Akron wins, there's no harm in a Creighton win, as Akron would still win the division with a win in the final match. If I really went in-depth on the tiebreakers, maybe I would have a different opinion. 😆

What does this mean in terms of his two-way eligibility? Can he still be called up and active at any time?

I live in Youngstown and I'm a Zips season ticket holder but I don't really want to pay $20 for an exhibition game so I'll be relying on info reported here. 🤣

Is the Kent game an easy win? They seem to be much improved. UMass should be an easy win considering they got demolished by Kent, and basically everyone other than Buffalo and the FCS game that they lost.

Does anyone know what the tiebreaker is if two teams finish on the same number of points and draw their head-to-head matchup? Could come into play for the division title if Akron beats Marquette, Seton Hall beats Creighton, and Akron/Creighton draw in the final match. Also, does anyone know the tiebreaker for a three way tie when the three teams didn't all play each other? Could come into play for the 4th seed as Akron. Providence, and UConn are all tied at 10 pts right now. Obviously, it could all change after the next set of games but just curious.

The longest first half I've seen, thanks to the multiple VAR checks. 70 minutes to play 45 minutes of game clock.

Tough to get much playing time at the beginning of the season when the roster is mostly healthy. But once the G League season starts, he'll get plenty of time there. Unfortunately, the T Wolves set up with their G League team isn't as convenient as the Pacers where the two teams sometimes played in the same building on the same day, allowing him to play G League and be active in the NBA on the same day. We know for sure that he'll work hard to keep improving and get a shot to prove himself like he did last year.

Akron currently sits at #14 in the RPI, the highest RPI in the Big East. We're seemingly in no danger of missing out on an at-large bid if needed (unless we lose the last three matches 😬). However, it would be interesting to see how the committee would handle a team not making their conference tournament, as we're currently outside of the top 4 in the conference standings. Anyways, today's only game that would directly affect Akron's RPI is Ohio State (RPI #94) at Washington (RPI #25) at 10 pm EST.

Do we know when the football stadium is paid off? I assume not for a while still.

I didn't copy the link from the post but I saw on Twitter earlier that Enrique has made the opening night roster for the T-Wolves as one of their 3 two-way players. And he's wearing the #25 jersey.

Zips are favored by 1.5 on Draft Kings. Seems like a trap to me, I'm not taking it. Can't imagine us winning a conference road game that isn't against Kent.

I don't know how long the MAC deal with espn is, but it's still active for this football season and I don't know why it would end during the middle of the academic year (usually the timetable used in college deals). I think the ESPN+ designation will be made available once the game times are announced which should be in the next week or two, other than those that end up being TV wildcard games.
