IF for some strange reason a hot shot coach came in and won as many games as KD (and didn't lose a second championship on a buzzer beater)....how long would that hot shot stay? A product worth following will boost attendance in Akron - that is obvious by the attendance at our basketball games . Once again Capt you have shown what a classy/diplomatic moderator you are.

1-11 seasons were THREE YEAR AGO with a different coach....HE IS GONE. Now we have Terry Bowden who has been working his ass off to make things happen - using tape and glue to put competitive teams together to play in front of 3,000 people In the last 30 games we are 17 W - 13 L. Of the 13 losses, 4 of those came against ranked/marquis teams - Penn State, Marshall, Oklahoma and Pitt (and some good MAC teams) We made it to a bowl game and WON! You all can keep blaming bad Rubber Bowl splintering seats, iCoach, TW, Scarborough, losing seasons, etc etc. That was a long time ago, success hasn't change anything and likely never will (which is why our b-ball team can't take the next step). Proenza is the one that made the bad move sinking so much money into a stadium without doing proper analysis to justify it.

Based on the "actual" attendance numbers listed here, if you combined all the actual butts in seats from the ENTIRE year - there would not be enough to fill the Info in a single game. And people wonder why we don't get better recruits

Can't we just enjoy the beatdown of Can't and the fact we are going to a bowl. The questioning of costs around going to a bowl and now the speculation of how much we are going to lose by going to a bowl is so frickin' typical of the "glass half empty" mentality around Akron. Makes me want to puke. BE HAPPY FOR GOD SAKES!!!

I thought people didn't come to Akron sporting events because we don't win enough - oh, wait a minute we are ranked #3 and a #4 seed in post season tourney No, wait a minute its because the Rubber Bowl was horrible, the JAR is a glorified HS gym - oh, wait a minute Cub Cadet is really nice I thought is was because we don't play marquis teams - wait a minute isn't Rutgers ranked and in the Big 10 I thought it was because of TW - wait a minute, he is not here I thought it was because is because we have conflict with Buckeyes football - wait a minute, the soccer game was on Sunday Now its because we are not a Cinderella team and people don't like soccer (the most popular game in the world) EXCUSES EXCUSES 5 goals in 18 minutes is amazing and exciting. A lot of people in Akron missed out on something very rare.
