I'm watching K-state get demolished at home by Iowa St right now. Down by 30 at the half. Nate is probably the 3rd or 4th option on a really bad team. His mom and her husband were at the JAR Friday night. I asked how he was doing and she was pretty non-commital, just saying he was fine.

In case you forgot, we had a devout Muslim player on the team just 2 years ago. He didn't seem too offended by the culture of the team. In fact, he left and came back for more.

They had them in the Tommy Evans lounge pregame to sing the Alma Mater as well. It was embarrassingly putrid. It looks like somebody dropped the ball on this one.

Actually that is the second time this season a student won the contest. Both times at the womens game. There have also been two winners in the putting contest at a women's game.

For a Monday night, Christmas break game against a D2 opponent, I thought the attendance was pretty good. It was a fun night.

Elite G league players have much higher FG %'s. He is the same as he always was, a ball hog gunner.

Imagine showing up in a foreign country just before the beginning of training camp. You barely speak the language. All the other players have been part of the program for month or even years. Everything is different. The food, intense practices like you have never experienced with a demanding coach, classes in subjects you never imagined and not to mention American women everywhere! I would call that culture shock!

I was really concerned for @NWAkron when they rolled out the new t-shirt cannon. He was safe because they clearly didn't practice with their new toy. But after a few more games....

They are being produced by the same group as last year.

I thought the team played pretty good last night. Xavier had a huge size advantage but they held their own on the boards. We had far fewer turnovers.

You can have the greatest marketing plan ever made but if there is no demand for your product it won't make any difference.

No other MAC school has a $5 million note payment every year for a facilitie that sits empty for 90% of the year. Multiple administration's have tried everything you could think of to create interest. A nice 15,000 seat stadium would have been perfect. Mack Rhoades and others were sure if we built it, they would come. They didn't come. JoMo knew what he was getting into when he agreed to be the man. There is plenty of blame to go around. Hopefully Goodrich can find a different type of unicorn. A rich donor who is willing to give millions to support football. Odds are that guy is going to want some input on who is running the program. People with that type of money expect a return on their investment.

We have donors who have contributed that much to Akron Athletics to create endowments. Just not for football. BTW, if you could share with me where I can get a guaranteed 10% return on my $2 million please send me a DM.

Here is the dilemma, neither party is happy. JoMo doesn't want to be here and powers that be don't want him to stay. If the optics weren't so bad, UA would just pay him off and send him on his way. JoMo holds all the cards. Hopefully he can find a job somewhere else and everyone will get what they want. I would rather take my chances on an up and coming guy who doesn't act like he is entitled to someone else doing all the heavy lifting required to engage the fans and community. That is the only way out of our football pit of Hell. JoMo will never be that guy.
