I pay virtually no attention to any other games other than the Zips.

Bud Wentz is the de-facto GM of the team. He does way more than just contribute money.

It's just a general comment. It's great to want new seating, better scheduling, better players, etc... All of those things cost money. The administration is telling us more cuts are coming. If you are a fan, you can do your part to make up the difference. Buy a better seat. Make a donation to the Zip Athletic club. Make a donation to the collective. UA is not a P-4 school with large numbers of rich alumni. LeBron is not going to come rescue us. My experience in this world is you get what you pay for.

Everybody has all these ideas about what is needed to move the program forward but nobody wants to help pay for those things.

Don't hate the playa, hate the game. The only selection process used by the NIT was analytics. They made it clear before the season began.

More Cuts coming to Akron ...
Hilltopper replied to ZipCat's topic in General UA & Campus Discussion
Terrible letting people get to keep their money when we all know the government would do a much better job spending it for them! I really appreciate these sarcastic posts of yours! -
See you tomorrow

It is doubtful that Riley will return. Mobley will be missed but I'm confident Gensler will find a replacement in the portal. He is feeling any outside pressure at this point. Only the pressure he is putting on himself to turn the tides of this program.

If you guys are going to make snarky comments, you should at least know what your talking about. Considering the amount of injuries and other issues with players, this year's team still competed every night. You know that Bud Wentz also runs a NIL program for the womens team? We have some pretty good freshmen and will pick up a couple more players from the portal. Shelbee Brown will be back and those injured players will return too. Gensler is a good coach. Eventually things will start to go our way.

I felt like they torched us when we went zone. Gave up to many easy baskets and rebounds.

If Akron is smart they will take the space where the inner belt was and turn it into a park with some amenities. Kind of like a mini central park.Right now there is a faction who thinks it should be some kind of reparations project to right a precieved wrong from 60 years ago. If you want to attract young people to live downtown there needs to be someplace for recreation. Charlotte has a big advantage with the nice year round weather. But Akron has nice enough weather to make it useful for 9 months of the year.

You will get them via email around noon tomorrow.

Right after the final buzzer, Tod went over and started screaming at Ricky Stokes about the officiating.

The sale price is $800,000. They are spending $500,000 in operating expenses.

Ryan Andrick cold cocked Dan Hipsher on the sidelines during a game.

Last night everybody was a winner thanks to Bud Wentz. In the putting contest, a new target sign was revealed that was 50% larger and had no target hole. The announcers said all that was required to win the $10,000 prize was to hit the sign. The young lady contestant took aim and sent a straight putt right at it. Just as the ball got there, the helpers lifted the sign and the ball passed underneath. The contestant started to walk away but was informed she had indeed won $10,000! Bud was waiting with the check at the other end of the court. The shot for tuition contest took a similar twist. A student was selected as always who could win a semester of tuition by sinking a layup, a foul shot, a three point shot and a half court shot in 30 seconds. It was then announced there would be a substitute celebrity shooter. Ali Ali! He calmly sank the first three shots on his first attempt. After about 10 attempts he banked in the halfcourt shot and the crowd went wild! Kudos to Bud for thinking outside the box to make senior night special.
