They flew down on a charter from Akron/Canton. Frontier A-330. Nice hotel in Columbia. Team buses had a bad-ass police escort from the hotel to the stadium. 3 motorcycle cops and a state trooper. Big time experience for the guys!

Reality; No reduced budget Actually we are spending more to be in the Big East MSOC has a healthy fundraising account unlike other teams to do things. The only glaring issue is no Director of Operations position but that was cut during COVID. Other teams lost their DO's too. People also forget that when Caleb was here they had camps with thousands of kids making a ton of cash. MSOC has active alumni and they always step up. The locker was just updated this summer. Jared and Ger both just got new contracts.

I'm going. Looking for a good sports bar to go for lunch on game day.

Channeling the departed member GoZips here. The best scenario for UA would be to drop football down to D-3. Leave the MAC and join the Big East for all other sports. If we can continue to grow our NIL program for Basketball we would be a good fit. The BE would gain access to another media market. Good enough to compete but not currently a threat to the current members. Imagine the crowds we would draw at the JAR. The BE has a great media contract which would more than make up for any football dollars we recieve now. Even after paying the debt on the football stadium we would still be dollars ahead. Go back to playing Mount Union etc..

The administration tried to put together a concert featuring a major country music star. They were shot down by Live Nation. The concert business is controlled by just a few companies. They decide who is playing where and when. Think TicketMaster lawsuit.

Lower their acceptance rate and raise their fees. If so many students want in then they should pay more. Having fewer students would make it a better experience.

That's the kind of community support to expect when you have a winning program. Zips football has been such a loser that no one is interested in being part of it.

Until some boosters step.upnto the plate with NIL money, we will not be able to compete at a high level. The guys that left were promised money that we don't have. Welcome to the new world of college athletics. All they wanted was a couple thousand bucks a month each. Maybe you could help out with that.
