  1. Would you consider Basile a "stretch-4", 'Meister?
  2. I think we need a JUCO small forward in the 6'6"-6'8" range. We've got Wynn at 6'6" and Ali at 6'8", but other than that we're either guards or true post players.
  3. Having said that, it looks like someone is transferring out if we're offering JUCO's. Jacob Tracey's offer wasn't listed yesterday.
  4. You're right. I jumped the gun. I'm going to delete my post. Thank you.
  5. I don’t think CSU will schedule us anymore. Wussies.
  6. We’ve got Groce and JoeMo. I really like Guthrie but if he leaves I trust Dr. Miller to find a likeminded replacement. Dr. Miller understands the importance of athletics as - like it or not - the most prominent face of a university.
  7. Yeah. We knew someone would have to decide to/be encouraged to transfer out, but most of us were speculating it'd be Wynn.
  8. Both Kobe and Nate have great builds and certainly pass the eyeball test. Nate is built like a bull.
  9. @Illini Zip simply posted that so we'd get a better idea of what may be waiting in the wings next year. I think the redshirt season was probably very good for Kobe, because, while he lit it up in HS, his competition was rather low caliber. A year under Groce to understand what D-1 defensive intensity looks like and understand the scheme and I think Kobe will really be able to help us next year. He may be the best 3-point shooter on the team next year. He also played football in HS, so hopefully he's got some hard-nose to him (even though he was a QB; Idk if he played D or not).
  10. Yes. Someone else would need to transfer out if we want to add a transfer.
  11. Apparently exit interviews have commenced. Lol 1. Wasn't Bryan a senior? 2. It's good to see he's earned his diploma.
  12. There would be a few more games per year under the 21st C. model.
  13. I think the idea is to make college more like the developmental academies so that players don’t feel their training is getting short-changed by deciding to go to college. @Let'sGoZips94 do you have Twitter? Click the above-posted tweet if you do. It will take you to the 21st Century Midel Twitter page where you’ll find lots of good info.
  14. Correct. A two-semester season, taking a 3-month hiatus during winter.
  15. That's going back to before my time. I wish I had been a Zips fan during the Huggins years, but I was too young and my dad never followed basketball. I also wish I could have seen Jacubick play; he's mentioned so often on the board.
  16. They just said that “UCLA getting past Akron was NOT easy.”
  17. UCLA wins it by 16, 72-56. Announcers gave us another mention as time was expiring.
  18. UCLA running away with it down the stretch.
  19. Hawkes (sp?), UCLA’s leading scorer tonight w/ 15, just went down w/ 6:58 left in the game & UCLA up 55-47. Looks like he’s done for the night. UCLA’s been in control all 2nd half. We’ll see if they can hang on without him.
  20. Definitely. In prior trips to The Dance I was always just crossing my fingers that we’d look respectable. This time around we definitely looked like we belonged there. Our defense was elite - not just on the MAC level, but on a national level.
  21. Yeah. They said St. Mary’s isn’t disrupting UCLA’s passing nor keeping them from getting into the paint like we did. 😕
  22. Yeah. If UCLA handles St. Mary’s it’ll definitely lead to some painful and lingering “what-ifs.”
  23. I’m pulling for UCLA. Makes us look better, right?
