1. How rowdy were the Rowdies and how pro-UA was the crowd? Were there any pro-Columbus State d-bags there?
2. 1. I remember the poster who gave us the inside scoop about Jacq before it hit the papers also mentioned MR was struggling with his throwing shoulder. So we should remember that.2. Could you post a roster for Club Baseball? I played @ Green and, just out of curiosity, I wanted to see where you guys played high school ball.
3. Have we figured out where this scholly is coming from?
4. Willie is a GA coach? Is this new news? I hadn't heard it before.
5. I would greatly prefer somewhere downtown. I'm still hoping downtown becomes a destination on gamedays.
6.

That's a great idea, no way am i going to the Barley House though. I say the OBC or cleats in Fairlawn (pretty big place, a friendly to Zips fans owner). Any other suggestions?

saddly OBC is no longer there and my inside sorce says they probably will not be opening up another bar. what we need to do is find one place for ALL zips fans insted of getting one for the rowdys one for the oldys and one for ZN I hear that tap house on waterloo has a good following of zips faithfull

Zipseuph, What are you talking about that the OBC may not be opening another bar? I thought they were moving to the Kaiser Building down the street?
7. I'm still here @ the Barley House. Actually, I find myself not as ticked off as I normally would be abot the Columbus State rah-rah. They did have the Zips game on over the house speakers until the game got laughably out of hand - which was only about midway through the 2nd quarter. I think I'm just so stunned and numb about the crap this season has turned into that I find it hard to care anymore, or to currently blame any other Akronites for not caring about the HOME team I love.Well, the Zips did just score again - only down by 20 now. pathetic still.Human beings love to be associated with a winner... and we suck.
8. Is there an official watch party location for the game tomorrow? Anyone planning on going to the Barley House? (presently my plan w/ a couple friends)
9. The announcers gave Akron a TON of good pub tonight.D'Orazio looked pretty good! Very good athlete, that's for sure.
10. Just a reminder to everyone that Zips QB recruit Zach D'Orazio of Cuyahoga Heights will be on tv tonight. 7:00 on FSN.
11. PB1719, that is by far the most intricately detailed prediction I've ever seen! Lol
12. The short answer is no.As of right now we had two scholarships to offer for 2010 (due to the graduation of C.McKnight and Conyers). Both of those scholarships have verbal commitments attached to them (Egner and Green). If I'm thinking correctly in order to pick up Euton we would either have to rescind an offer to one of those two or we would have to have another player leave the program. I suppose it is possible that one of our guards would look to transfer out. We do have a log-jam at the guard spots right now and it wouldn't be a total surprise if one of the talented youngsters saw the writing on the wall as far as playing time. The other possibility I could think of would be if Daryl Roberts isn't granted or doesn't want (his commitment to the program has been a question in the past) his extra year of eligibility for '10-'11. I think that goes over about everything. Hope it helps. And the scholly opened up due to Andrew Parrish transferring?...[edit] Ah, I should have read a bit further down. I guess Roberts got the scholly vacated by Parrish?
13. I hope this is true. And it's about time. Though AA has an NFL body, he just isn't himself yet (anymore?). Too bad Dale Martin is apparently injury prone; he looked like the most explosive back of them all.Go DeVo! Put your head down and run hard! We need some more testosterone in our offense!
14. Well if he can improve his unathleticness by 20% within the next 30 days I will consider not recommending that we revoke the scholarship offer. You really think UA couldn't use a guy who was recruited by the most talent-laden team in the entire country? Really? I think CraftyMFer has a much more realistic view of what Euton would bring to the table for us.Zipmeister's only joking.
15. WOW! Dude, you are an EXCELLENT photographer! Serious props.
16. I hope you're right about that.
17. If you're a masochist, ESPNU is replaying the Indiana game tonight @ 11:00. Ouch.
18. Hmm. Did the transfer of Andrew Parrish open up a scholly?I hope he got to meet LeBron!
19. Ever heard of capitalization or spacing after periods?Of course not. Like most of the rest of us, he graduated from the University of Akron. About a year ago RACER made a reference to a disability he has that makes typing a royal pain in the butt for him, so, knowing that, do try to give the guy a break (even though, yes, his posts can often be difficult to decipher).
20. Well said. This pretty much sums up my present feelings about the program and this season. I do, however, hope we have something to get excited about by the end of the year.I guess I'm just excited to see if the Info can make an impact on the caliber of recruit we bring in. The Indiana game was really an eye-opener.
21. Before the Morgan State game I watched as some clearly-plastered, glassy-eyed chick petted on one of the mounted police horses for a few minutes. The cop said nothing. She wasn't hurting anyone. Everyone, police included, were in pleasant, friendly moods. Kudos to the APD & UAPD. Btw, the mounties are a great touch. People love them & they add even more flair to the gameday environment.
22. Also, if you saw him in a walking boot, well, those D-1 athletes get better treatment & more pampering than any of the rest of us. If he did have a slight ankle sprain, they might put him in a boot for a day or two, whereas they'd tell you or me to just walk it off. Lol.
23. I can't vote with my BlackBerry, but definitely Matt Rogers. We need to move forward with Matt.Definitely not Jacq.Keep Nicely's redshirt if at all possible. Now, if Rogers gets hurt I'd be for burning Nicely's redshirt, but not otherwise. Let Wackerly take the mop-up-duty snaps this season.
24. I hope Jacq doesn't have anything to do with highly regarded OL recruit Joe Patchuta (sp?) leaving training camp after only two days. That's be a travesty.Anyway, if this is true, wow, wow, wow. Stealing from your own teammates?!?! What an @sshole. The team oughta let big, bad 'Mondo beat the hell outta him.
25. Thanks!
