Yeah, it'll be played. The snow is supposed to stop late this evening. That gives crews about 20 hours to clear roads, and that's plenty of time. I think we'll see a packed house.

hey, can i say how lucky we are that this storm hit today/saturday rather than 24 hours later. really would've taken away from the atmosphere with 1,000 people for a rivalry game. :D

I know to consider the source and all that jazz but THIS really pisses me off. If you look at the right hand column of bubble teams they break it down to "looking good," "iffy," and "looking bad." This is the perfect example of the joke number that is the RPI. And I know it's K-e-n-t, but had we won NIU, VCU and a couple of the other close ones, we'd be in the same spot. The major conference bias is something that's so beyond disgusting in college sports and will never go away. I don't care how well we ever do, if we are a MAC team, the only way to be assured a bid is to either lose only 1 or 2 games total or win the tournament. Someone PLEASE explain to me why k-e-n-t is "LOOKING BAD" at 24-6, 32nd rpi while Arizona State (18-10, 70th), USC 18-10 (40th), and DAVIDSON (23-6, 45th) are all "LOOKING GOOD." Give me a break, is the MAC that bad? If you use that as an excuse why is Davidson (IN THE SOCON for poops sake) is getting respect? The NCAA tournament is bottom line money-and-name-driven just as the farce that is the BCS. To build a name "worthy" of respect even in off years (when other teams are more deserving) takes decades. I don't see us stepping out of the MAC for years to come. This is a good point. You can argue for a huge arena for Akron sometime down the road simply because of it's proximity (and being located within) to a huge population base. It will ALWAYS be difficult for schools like BG to draw huge crowds simply because of their status of being a "college town" located off the beaten trail. Nonetheless, if you read the article, it's an oxymoron of sorts. The donors talk about thinking bigger and how much better "smaller" schools are than the OSUs and Michigans of the world. The picture looks great, but I'd think they'd still want to push it to 7-8k. Something in the neighborhood of EMUs arena.

Incredible. BG pulls off the upset. One more Can't loss before the 9th and the a few Zips wins and we could be playing for the East. It'd take a lot of things going right, but boy would it be nice!

I hope K.e.n.t. gets stomped in every game for the rest of the season. I hope they lose by 75 points in each one. I wish they would've lost by 75 points out on the west coast. I will NEVER root for them. The teams we need to root for are the bottom 2/3 of this conference that cant seem to break the mighty 250+ RPI barrier. The MAC doesnt receive minimal respect because of the K.e.n.t.s, Akrons and Ohios of the Conference. It lacks respect because of the Buffalos, EMUs, Ball States, and CMUs of the league. If you're gonna root for the MAC, root for the ugly part of the conference. Until these guys start doing something, the MAC will remain a very middle-of-the-pack league.

It's a little farther than I'd go with the officiating. It was piss-poor and quite blatantly biased. Now, I'll stop that one step short of the officials knowing they were intentionally mishandling the game. VCU is a talented team, don't get me wrong. I believe there's a contrast of playing styles in the leagues, absolutely. But it makes NO sense how VCU can play stifling man-to-man D with hand checks, jersey grabs and bumps, while akron's guards play back to avoid dribble penetration and yet somehow VCU gets just 7 falls called the entire second half? It's iffy at best. Bottom line: a little more balanced game call and a JWood at 100%, we do win this one. And by the range of 5-10 points.
