Now down to business. This is a game we match up favorably in. Comparing the 2-deep for our offensive and defensive lines, we have a clear advantage on both sides. The players on our O-line average 40 lbs more than their D-linemen. JMU's offense is mostly on the ground. They have a QB that likes to run. Their passing attack is not much of a threat, which allows Akron to put a spy on the QB to contain him. Their defense is vulnerable to the pass, and I expect that we'll see more deep throws by Pohl in this game.
Bowden and the team are taking this game very seriously. They know what is at stake. We are no overlooking JMU like certain teams have overlooked FCS opponents this season.
I expect the 2-deep for this game to be quite different than the one we had for UCF, and I also think we'll see less conservative playcalling on offense.
