Connor wasn't even the best running back on the field that day. He was handcuffed by predictable play calling (run, run, pass), and an awful display at the quarterback position. If we were a better team last year, we could have killed them. I expect two totally different game plans this year. Very intriguing matchup. Will be fun to see if the new AD will reach out to the local community to garner support.

Chapman will have most to do with the success or failure of our season. After seeing him run the vanilla offense in the spring game, I'm dying to see him run our real offense. Not that I won't enjoy it, but I have a good idea of what the other side of the ball will look like.

Ibrahim out for season with Achilles injury. He only had one carry against us last year, but it was a ten yard carry.

Looks like he was recruited as a safety. While he was interested in four other MAC schools (Miami, WMU, UB & UT), Akron was not one of them.

Fun info. I like Kyle's attitude. If Lane can learn the position, he should be a physical mismatch. I would assume his blocking will be a big asset in most offenses, but especially our new offense.
