    Yeah I never understood that either. I'm not sure what it is, but since I've been at UA I've noticed tons of the locals are completely pessimistic about the city and the university.

    I think your thoughts bring up the issues that CBS has trying to showcase all of these games. It bothers me that they have to do this whole musical chairs routine with all of the games. I don't care how long CBS has had it, ESPN needs to take over March Madness.

    I think the 345 mill the school has raised already contradicts that statement. I know when I make some big dough I'll be giving back Can't forget where you came from, right? Well, sort of.

    No joke. I played football against him in high school.Sullivan single-handedly kept his team in games. He's obviously even better at bball.

    The weirdest part is that racer always seems to make good points despite the horrid typing. Racer, are you just lazy, or is the space bar key missing on your keyboard? I swear I'll send you a new keyboard in the mail. I can't take much more of that stuff.

    Optimism would be an understatement. Not to say it's not realistic, though. The basketball team has a lot of off season work to do before I give them a top 20 spot...as for the futbol team...well...I'd say 3 of 3 natl championships isn't altogether unlikely.

    Screw the repeat. Next year we win this game and go on to the next round...So much talent coming back and if Zeke can contribute as a Freshman, wow....Excellent point. I get so worked up during zips games that by post game my thoughts are just too jumbled.The future begins...NOW.

    Hm, and the worst part is, no one can merge the two threads because all the admins are at the game . I guess that leaves a bunch of poor college students. Win or lose, this is really fun. Who would've thought UA would be on the national scene and up on Gonzaga at half?

    Haha I got this from another thread on this forum. I just added the stuff about Portland playing the Cavs.Wow, I guess that goes to show you how observative I am. I guess it's because this forum has just been overrun with posts lately. It's amazing what an NCAA appearance can do.

    Although you're right about us outnumbering them, it's not a fair comparison. Their a small ho-hum catholic uni. Our enrollment is essentially six times theirs. Not a fair comparison.

    UNI(northern Iowa) looked like they might pull out the upset at some points. Too bad we didn't draw Purdue, I really believe we would've beat them. Gametime is quickly approaching. Expect a sea of zags fans. And also, I've never seen the Cleveland media give the zips so much coverage! Imagine if we win!

    Wow, their entire student body makes up less then one freshman class here yet they can bring in that many students. Could you imagine if Akron starting winning like that? The AK Rowdies would fill the entire JAR.

    Nothing would make me happier then to see Can't State drop to FCS. Truth is, right now, Can't State doing well can help us. That wouldn't be true if they left FBS. Plus, if they dropped to FCS, their fans would be mortified .

    Yup, couldn't agree more. No matter who the opponent, Akron fans and players should go in with an optimistic attitude. That's what I like about this group of guys. During interviews that I've seen they all look and sound confident. I don't doubt their heart for one second, and I'm behind them 100%. You should be, too.
