Actually, the cops in Akron are pretty idiotic. Instead of focusing on the real crime a few miles south, they direct all their attention to breaking up easy going parties and busting underage drinkers. To be honest, Akron's getting the party scene started up again. With Sumner Fest back(although I heard the cops were all over that) and Mayday, there's plenty of good parties. But the cops need to just cool down. What are they going to do when tailgating starts? Arrest everyone with an open container?Regardless, the new stadium will help revive the parties.

No I agree, that would be a pretty odd thing to hope for. But to call that the worst post on zipsnation would be stretching it. I've seen some pretty stupid ideas proposed on here before.

That, my friend, its ghetto bird. It''s main priority is to keep tabs on the area a few miles south of campus, but it routinely flies as far north as exchange. I hate it. Make's me feel more like I'm in Compton than anything else. Akron PD has nothing better to do, so they make an enormous effort to stop college drinking/vandalizing instead of focusing on the important crap. Not to imply that I condone the stadium being vandalized. I'll let them watch that thing all day.

This is the best news I've heard in a while. I'll be wearing my UA scarf at all the home football(americano) games as well, so the rest of you ignorant Americans who think it's sissy can shovel it.

Well Zips fans that i know that are also Suckeyes fans always say that they root for them because "they are close to us". So i'm rooting for Pitt now as my second team since they are 15 miles closer than Cowlumbus. So as much as i hate the steelers, The University of Pittsburgh is my new second fav school just to piss those people off. Hey it's closer!I'm a Shawnee state man myself..

You know what, you bring up a good point. There are way too many steelers fans @ UA. I know pittsburgh isn't that far away, but it's sickening how many pukesburgh fans go here. And as for those who grew up in Ohio and root for the steelers.... There's nothing I hate more than fair weather fans. (COUGH...OSWHO fans...COUGH)

My apologies. My earlier post was referring to http://community.meacfans.com/eve not Bearroundup. Bearroundup looks like nothing more than a silly alumni networking site. It seems like their real home is on this other link. It still won't let me on it though. I can't imagine what Morgan State fans could be talking about that is so important. Their conference's academic level is one step above a community college.

Yes! We were driving East on Exchange from Main street yesterday and you could see the stadium from THERE! The thing is HUGE!!!Yeah I noticed that same view myself. You can see it when you are going down 77 North as well.

Yeah, I can understand why you would want to stay away from the more expensive stuff. If you really want to save money, I'd suggest living off campus by at least your senior year..but I'm sure this isn't news to you Haha. I can see them from my window and the people there are obnoxious. Always throwing crap in the street and yelling. I'm sure you were more considerate in your college years..
