I've seen this thread before. On the same site, if you go to the city photos forum, anyone can post pictures of Ohio's city's(or college campuses). Akron is very underrepresented and there has only been one UA photo thread that I've seen before( I believe it was posted by our own zipsrifle!).If anyone want to represent UA they should post some pics on there. Especially of the new stadium construction.

I can't really answer your question but I did just want to point out that there is no real "home side". I only make this point because I got chewed out for using that term on here a while ago. Apparently that terminology is "low class". Regardless, I'd be surprised if the press box side had less seating than the east side.

Unless were both missing something, you're right, it doesn't add up. This stuff reminds me way to much of my Chem2 lecture. Everyone puts a numerical answer they found into their electronic keypad and the professor shows the results on the screen(in the form of a pie graph).Just about every time we do it, someone puts the number to the UA police department. The whole lecture hall gets a good laugh outta that.

First of all, there is a 50+ page thread already in progress that you could've posted this in. Secondly, from what I hear, they will easily be able to finish on time. I highly doubt they weren't expecting harsh snow storms this winter.

Well, I was in Robs cafe yesterday, and I figured I'd pick up a copy of the student newspaper. First, everything was the same as usual; complaining about the new stadium, high loan rates, praising Barack Obama as God(among a slew of liberal propaganda that most college kids eat up). Then I turn to the very back of the paper to check out the Classifieds(apts for rent, etc.)...and what do I see but a FULL half page advertisement for Can't STATE UNIVERSITY! Someone on the newspaper staff please tell me this is a joke? There's no way someone let this go through accidentally! 230 pounds, and can't beat five seconds for 40 yards? Why did we offer him, exactly? Could have been his 25 inch vertical, or the fact that he's 230 and will probably put on 15-20 pounds. Which would make a decent strong side end.over 5 seconds is even slow for a DE. That is DT speed. at 230lbs he will need some serious weight.Honestly, many O-Linemen run around a 5.1-5.3. When I visited UA for the first time, I fell in love with campus after about a few minutes.The one place I saw that totally sold me on UA was the REC center. Make sure to go inside and check it out. It's truly impressive.Edit: I'd also visit sometime in the spring. Campus looks much better in the spring with all of the plants and flowers in bloom.

Let's spend that 800 billion dollar budget on leveling the economic playing field. Simply spread all that money to the mid-level non BCS conferences so there will no longer be a select few BCS conferences with all the power.

The more I think about it, a lot of undergrads could "afford" this place if they used their financial aid(student loans and grants for some). If you plan on living in Akron year round like myself, then this would still be MUCH cheaper than living on campus for the summer. But it still obviously a lot more expensive than living somewhere like Fir Hill.In the end, I look at it this way. If I ended up going to case, even had I lived off campus while an upperclassmen, because of the high cost of tuition and fees there, I'd still be spending more money there than if I did decide to live in the 22 Exchange while at UA. UA is a true money saver.

I know you were just kidding but let's be honest here. Pot is widely used throughout UA's campus. As are other drugs. It's college. I've never been to Can't's campus so I wouldn't know the atmosphere there, but I'm willing to bet they use as much or less pot then students at UA. I know it's been a running joke(Can't is a hippie school etc) but I can't lie, I've never seen someone do as much acid as this kid a few doors down from me. Does that make Akron a bunch of hippies too?Just putting a long running joke into perspective.lol well akron may have its share of "hippies" and drug users but lets not forget that at this University there are consequences for being caught doing such things.
