It'd certainly make watching the football team easier. Still baffled at how the university is choosing to lose out on all that cash they could make. Then again, with our attendance numbers, I dont think theyd be generating very much at all.

Knew this was happening today - didnt know it was going down over at the stadium. I bet thered be a bigger crowd at that game than any of our home games.

and this thread is only the latest of the threads with posts regarding him.. If theres one thing the university should take from this thread, assuming they keep a keen eye on what is being said here, is that theres an IMMENSE amount of interest with JT coming here and that doing so would be a huge boost to our football program.

lets be fair. he set himself up for that by openly stating he was the CFO on a public forum... im sure there are more than a few people who would have done the same thing iPanic did if such a thing arose here.

Can someone explain to me how this one rumor constitutes the public lashing of one of our most dedicated supporters? Some, namely ZipRoo, seem to feel like this incident has some kind of heavy weight (no pun intended, Ian hahaha) on whether JT comes here.

ZipRoo, youve got a lot of balls to call out the most loyal, supportive, and dedicated student that I have ever seen like you have, especially using the wording you did. What he's done personally for this university, to me, cannot be matched. Grow up and realize theres no need to get upset over all this like you have. You act as if he has any kind of hand in determining our next coach...

Yup... everyone's becoming overly consumed by this pipe dream. Come back to earth, people... Let's not get lost in what we wish this university could be come. Im not against JT in the slightest, but after today's flurry of rumor-milling, I wont be disappointed one bit if he looks elsewhere.

Ive been keeping an eye on twitter and honestly, there seems to be a lot of rumor-milling BS going on there too. Someone posts an opinion, someone else takes it as fact, and away it goes. This is OUT OF CONTROL. Hell, this thread should probably be locked until some form of credible information is found because its just nonsense. Who would you like to see interviewed? ANYONE who is a proven winner with at least 5 years of HC experience at FBS/FCS levels. Thats who I am looking for. I am just tired of every thread being either JT/PW. Let see some other good candidates broken down like these guys have. Luke is one we've already looked at 2 years ago.. I dont think he's leaving that program.

this thread just decided it for me: I will be avoiding this forum and relying on my friends on twitter and facebook to keep me updated on the coaching search until we have selected one. I am SICK AND TIRED of the JT/PW bandwagoners flooding the forums with their nonsense. Ill just keep the faith we'll hire someone good.

Driving home to attend. The funeral is Monday. Okay. I think the article being linked to above assumes they mean the actual funeral, but its a bit ambiguous. The drive home for it is not the same as the drive to the actual funeral.

i understand being respectful, but in this business making the decision and announcement as quickly as possible is better for all parties involved. Its simply the nature of the game and I am sure Rob knows that. Its just epicly unfortunate that his mother's death came at the end of the season and its just better for Rob to move forward with the grieving processes without the stress over whether he'll have a job.
