Yeah I think this program is BS. I am a huge Zips football fan and they are telling me I will be 8th in line to get priority tickets for away games, tourney games and bowl games???? They should be so lucky that I am interested in those things!! I am not happy and it better never effect anything I choose to go to.

I was told today by a ticket rep Spring Game is slated to be Sat. April 19 Easter Weekend

I contacted the A11FL and asked directly if Akron or Cleveland will be in the last two spots. They replied within 5 min and said: "Our finalist markets are Seattle, Denver,Philadelphia and Detroit." They are obviously wanting big boy cities!

Anyone know if they come back to Canton this season? I wish I had seen this post earlier...as a teacher I have nothing better to do on days off!

I actually talked to him and tried to explain to him that the auctioneer was losing him money by not accepting bids on the bleachers after the initial "one" bleacher was sold. He laughed at me and said no I am making money regardless. I said you better think about this one. A few minutes later he went over and whispered to the auctioneer and strangely they opened more bids and from my account sold at least 6 more bleachers. He is not a genius, or anything close! This disaster is going to run them into the ground, no doubt.

During the third and early fourth quarters of the Toledo game the Zips went into the 3-4 ( when Toledo was driving) and Frenchy mentioned that it was a taste of things to come for next year.

Was it just me or was it breaking news that the Zips are opening at home on Thurs Aug. 28 next year against Howard? I constantly look at the future schedule and I dont ever remember seeing that on there! 269 days now!!! Boy is it exciting to actually look forward to Akron football!

My section (212, row 1) was closed. They asked me and my group to move into the reserved section (210?) so we did until the usher came and said sorry move elsewhere someone has these seats. We went to Guest services to complain and they comped us club seats! We were a lot further away from the action than we are used to , but it was a fun time!

That field goal is my first real memory of Akron football! I was 13 years old! That was so awesome!

The original founder of the USFL was caught for embezzlement, and the new board has no interest in coming to Akron because they want to control stadium, revenue, housing, etc. So for some reason the group that wants to refurbish the stadium is holding an auction for this junk. I think they want their money back and will do nothing afterwards.

This team lost 3 MAC games, and still won the MAC Championship Man, What a nice looking stadium they must have played in back in 2005!
