I think a lot of us are OK with keeping Bowden, so long as he does his job and makes changes that need to be made. If nepotism is an issue, then I'm not sure how anyone can defend him being the head coach. Maybe a poll should be made @Dr Z. Do you want Bowden to stay and don't think any changes are necessary, fire OC, fire other coaches (explain), or fire everybody and start fresh. Would be nice to see everyone's thoughts all in one place.

Cheese starting over Utomi is interesting. Already struggling to score. We really need to stop forcing it to Riak. He plays way, way too soft and doesn't have the offensive game he should for a guy his size.

Good topic. I was thinking about this the other day actually. Really like the Kehres suggestion. Follows the Buffalo mold that has been shown can obviously work, should be cheap, and has great connections. Another one I'd add, though would likely be on the more expensive side, would be Jake Spatival (OC) at WV.

I was wondering the same thing. Also, there will be a replay available on the same site (for all games). I watched the 2nd half on replay due to other obligations.

Nice. Looks like we just offered him yesterday. Also has offers from EMU and BG (where he was committed before). Would like to see us target more athletes from this area, especially watching Andy Isabella just tear up college football this season.

Agree with most of what everyone is saying. Not gonna be many games where Utomi and Ivey were off as much as they were today. Pleased with Jackson. Riak may not be able to handle these big guys playing for upper level competition, but hopefully he will be able to make his presence known in the paint in MAC play. Clemson was a Sweet 16 team last year and returned 4 of 5 starters, who are all 5th year seniors. We were down about 15 at one point and fought back and made it a game rather than getting blown out. Let's go 2-1 in this thing! Also, i'll post the link for the game tomorrow as well for those who had trouble today. Should be at 11am.

I'm far from a QB expert, but something about his throwing motion looked off. Like he would throw off of his back foot rather than step into the throw, which would obviously cause the ball to not have as much zip as you'd like. Anyone else see something similar?

We haven't played anyone yet, but dang it has been fun to watch this team play so far and it was fun watching them kick YSU's butt. Loren Jackson's value probably cannot be overstated. He can shoot, he can dribble, he can create, he plays smart, he has a knack for getting foul calls, and I haven't seen his size be an issue yet. So refreshing not having to deal with freshman mistakes at that position and on this team in general. Luckily we get him for 3 years! This team is athletic and talented. Hard to believe the majority of the players have almost no experience playing together outside of practice...these guys have chemistry and are playing nice team ball. Ivey isn't forcing things (because he doesn't have to). I'm feeling very confident that what happened last season is in the rear view mirror for good and we are going to be back to being MAC competitors this season and going forward. Buckle up...should be a fun season. Really looking forward to our bigger OOC games.
