  1. I got a personalized card from some students who worked in Simmons I think which was nice, a UA alumni sticker, and a pamphlet asking me to donate. LOL
  2. Sounds right to me. We definitely have some greyshirts from last year too. But I don't think either site is showing "signed", just commits. I'm not sure I buy into these conspiracy theories about guys bumping up stars, but Its beyond dumb and stubborn if Bowden, Amato, and the clan don't contact these sites regarding commits. It looks bad. Look at the rankings. For the most part, the better teams in the conference are up top, and the bottom teams are at the bottom. Good perception is important if you're trying to improve your program.
  3. Impressive win. Next up, Toledo!
  4. Elton lists Kwan as a guard, therefore I am having trouble buying any other part of his story. He's most likely giving us selective stats at best.
  5. I have definitely seen a recent graduate package somewhere before. Do not believe there is a special rate for single games, though.
  6. I think its an awesome idea. Bummed that Yedlin won't be able to make it, but still should be nice nonetheless. sidenote: we can afford to do this, but not a flight to state college?
  7. I'll concede that while I have made it clear I'm not really a fan of the shot selection, being 3-happy seems to be a formula that has worked for other mid-majors in the tourney. Especially ones where their best player is a PG (think OU). But we as fans have to realize the consequences of this. There are going to be games we lose that we shouldn't and there will be games where the opponent shoots a lot more FTs than us. DIG's stat earlier about us scoring more points per shot shooting the 3, even with a lower percentage, was refreshing to see. I think it can get even better since some of our specialists (Kretzer and McAdams to an extent) haven't performed very well this year. We used to brag about having "Major conference size", but that never won us anything. I'm all for trying this as long as we don't get too one dimensional.
  8. I think we both can agree that nobody is expecting Kwan to be a clone of Tree, but to find some middle ground and use his size to rebound better and have an inside offensive game. Quite frankly it would be a disservice to him if the coaching staff has no intention on developing it.
  9. We have Forsythe, Johnson, and Kwan. Plenty of size, regardless if Kwan chooses to use his or not. Pretty positive without looking it up that all 3 are taller than Tree.
  10. Can't pinpoint it, but more than exactly none from the local beat writer for sure. But it was a legitimate question rather than a gripe. Beaven wrote the article on Johnson rather than GT, which is why I was curious.
  11. So did George Thomas just completely quit covering this Zips? Checked his twitter back until Christmas, it was all Browns, Steelers, and Buckeyes.
  12. Only one I could find. http://uakron.bncollege.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Jardine_Woven_Polyester_Tie/ProductDisplay?parentCatId=40360&imageId=882986&level=&graphicId=mascot&categoryId=40403&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&storeId=19072&productId=400000179046&topCatId=40000
  13. I'm not sure why there is an obsession with shooting 3s this season.
  14. Looking forward to this heavy weight OOC bout before we get conference play under way.
  15. no thanks.
  16. Think DIG will like this little stat: SportSourceAnalytics @SportSourceA · 1h 1 hour ago Only 3 FBS teams threw the ball 60%+ of the time this year: #WashingtonState #KentState and #TexasTech. Three teams combined record was 9-26 Surprised Can't State is on there.
  17. Thank you. Hopefully this puts the conspiracy theory to rest that anybody is afraid of us because we lost to them.
  18. if anything, I think Kretzer needs less minutes
  19. Pretty sure USC has one of those as well. Not sure how common it is at power conference programs though.
  20. TCU and Baylor have nobody to blame except for their conference for not being in the playoff.
  21. Def Toledo, but I'll add a number of teams have been a little surprising during non conference play. Should be a competitive year. Sidenote: Akron does not have a player in the top 10 of the conference in rebounding, assists, or points.
