. You should call the ticket and ask for your rep. I received my tickets. And the certificates for the replica jerseys. I paid for them when I renewed. Also got the Fear the Roo flag and certificates for seat cushions and $5.00 free.food per.game. All in all, tickets almost paid for with freebies.

Thinking about the helmets.. A better look -- in my opinion -- would be a Matte Blue with the Reflective Gold Z..... would be awesome. I can't see the Z on the Gold Helmet -- its just in outline... At least fill in the Z all Blue or something. Just sayin'

I have completely lost all respect for JMU. Was at the the game. Anybody else notice no handshake after the game? Bush League. And the coach was screaming and crying to the refs all nite. Cops had to escort the refs into the locker room at halftime. So you feel you didn't get a couple of calls. Deal with it like a man. Akron NEVER gets calls. Even at home with MAC Refs. If the calls were made against you, then they are probably real. If your guys lost their cool cuz our guys did something... too bad. Refs always see the response not the first foul. As a coach with 15 yrs at JMU, you should know that. That has always been, and will always be, part of the game. JMU is a self-absorbed program run by a jerk who feels he is entitled to win on reputation only. Here is more: Time Runs out on JMU Matthews (HC)“You stop the clock at the end of the game,” JMU coach Mickey Matthews, still fuming, said outside the Dukes’ locker room. “That’s what I was mad about. His forward progress was stopped with about nine seconds left.” But the clock didn’t stop. Harvey went over the middle and caught a pass that was close to being a first down at the Akron 27-yard line. The senior made the catch with roughly 10 seconds left in the game, but the referees never got the ball set — the Akron players also were in no rush to line up — and the game clock expired, perhaps costing the Division I-AA Dukes (1-1) what could have been their fifth-ever win over a I-A opponent and first since 2010 when they beat Virginia Tech. Answer -- no you don't.. unless he gets the first down.. and he was still struggling forward. Idiot. Look at the film. Translation: "We r JMU and they are sucky Akron. I mean we should get all the help we need to win." Birdsong (QB): "This is the way it goes. [i-A] teams are supposed to beat [i-AA] teams. We should have come here with that mindset. The refs weren’t going to be on our side. We should have known that from the get-go.” Answer: You shoudn't have made that throw -- spike the ball. Scott (RB): "“We got another team [saint Francis] next week and practice this week — just fix everything,” said Scott, who had 107 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns. “I know I had a late penalty at the end of the game when they were actually choking me. But, I mean, it’s no excuse.” Answer: on ESPN3, I can't see a choke but I do see the punch you threw. Cheap Shot from the reporter: The end of the game sent Matthews into a rage. The 15th-year coach chased the referees for almost half the field at what looked like a sparsely filled InfoCision Stadium. The official attendance was 19,653. 20,000 in a 27k stadium. prob not -- but tickets sold and the grassy knoll was filled. put them in the stands and the stadium looks a lot fuller. Final Thought: You lost the game on the field. Grow up. Man up. You wasted time outs. You threw a pass short of the 1st down- down the middle of the field with under 20 seconds to go. Deal with it. Take your check and go home. Oh and when you ask the MAC to admit you for IA next time. Sorry but we are full. NO ROOM. MOVE ON.

Sounds more like he is full of himself and wanted more groveling. The opportunity was there for him when it was there. What a baby. " I wasn't ready. And they wanted an answer. And they offered me the job and I was too busy to think about it. and. waa.. waaa." This makes me even more happy he is not the coach. Self-absorbed ego-maniac. We've tried that before.

Ten Least Anticpated FBS Games of 2013 Akron Zips at UMass Minutemen Saturday, Nov. 16, 1 p.m. ET, TV TBA If Eastern Michigan at Army is the race for 2-10, then Akron at UMass could be the battle for 1-11. UMass spent its first year in the MAC averaging an amazingly minuscule 12.7 points per game. They even suffered through a mid-season stretch where they lost by a combined 136-7 to Bowling Green, Vandy, and Northern Illinois. If you think that’s bad, former Auburn coach Terry Bowden’s Zips were the only ones to suffer a loss to a team that eventually went 1-11 last year. The team? UMass.

And why Mention Akron? relevent quote: "The bizarre incident took place during UCF's first football game of the season against University of Akron. "

UA Grad Rate is Awful " Of all the first-time, full-time students who enroll at the main campus at the University of Akron, only 14 percent graduate in four years. • Only 38 percent graduate in six years."

This is what I am asking about. Would you rather sit at the Info alone for Idaho, New Mexico State, Southern Miss and Tulane or go ahead and do what needs to be done like NIU and Toledo (2 for 1s) and get Purdue, Kansas, Miami FL, NC State etc. We had Syracuse and Indiana here in the past on 2 for 1's. Can't had Minnesota and Iowa State recently. Buffalo has had UConn, Cincy, Baylor. UMass has BC and Colorado. The directional Michigans are getting Michigan State to do it. I think these are recognizable names regardless of their current status on the field and promoted well, would draw at the gate and generate interest a lot more than VMI, Tulane, NMSU etc. If Toledo etc can do it, why can't we?

Good discussion. But I was curious if you had your choice would you prefer to do what is being done now or take the Fresno State approach of anyone, anyplace anytime? What caught my attention were the games some of our conference mates have coming up. I am amazed that Miami FL is coming to a MAC venue. Would you be in favor of 2 for 1's or 3 for 1's to get that level of opponent to come to Akron? Just front-load it so we get our game 1st. Then go there. I think you would sell out the Info for Miami FL, NC State etc regardless of how good or bad we are at the time. And I know you can't beat 'em if you don't play 'em. And I'd rather take a 1-11 against this level opponent than Sunbelt/MAC and FCS opponents. Rather be going to see Miami, USF, NC State, FSU, Pitt, Rutgers, etc than ULL, Morgan State etc. If we get pasted by Miami, then so what -- it's expected. But if we give them a game... We are the buzz all over the country. The FCS games are a no-win scenario. Lose to Gardner-Webb or Morgan State and you are a laughing stock. As we found out 2 yrs ago. Just my opinion.
