Jaq is gone or should be gone, so let Rodgers run the team. MOst of us have been asking for this for a year, so let's see what the kid can do. It makes no sense though to keep the qb carousel spinning. The same holds true for JD. At thisd moment, things are looking bleak for him. However, I would keep as the coach until the end of the season.

Don't blame the loss on those calls. The bottom line is we stunk the place out. Defense was on the field too long. Offense was unimaginative and couldn't keep good consistent drives going. Special teams gave up a score, but at least, they scored and also blocked a field goal.It seems as if the whole tema, coaches included, don;t have anidea of what is going on or to do. Halftime is when you make adjustments from the first half. In typical Jd fashion, it looked like nothing changed.

Apathy is probably the best word to describe this mess, both on the field and in the stands. It is becoming more obivous that JD is not the answer as a head coach. It is also appearing as though all of those "prized" recruits have done virtually nothing for the program. Prime example is Bains. Didn't play 1 st year, because of transfer rule, didn;t play last because of substance abuse and isn;t playing much this year because of a bad back. Bains has been a poor investment. Fans and students are not going to want to see this type of product, even if it is a sparking new stadium. You can gift wrap a turd, but it is still a turd.I hope we can turn things around for the rest of the season, but I am not betting the house on it.

I waited until this morning to post because I was too disappointed and p---ed off after yesterday's embarrasment.Discipline or should I say a lack thereof seems to be the trademark for this team & JD. First, we lose our starting qb for doing something stupid b4 one the season's biggest games (JD did the right thing), but then there were at least 2 dead ball penalties. One in the 3rd quarter that just killed any momentum we might have had. Also, after an excellet kick return, there was the infamous illegal block penalty.I believe we saw the true Zip fb team play yesterday and I don't care for it much at all. Just to be bowl eligible (6-6), we need to go 5-4 the rest of the way. To get us to a bowl other than representing the MAC champion, we need to go 6-3. Can we do it, I want to hope that we can, but my gut is telling me we will be 5-7 or 4-8 this year. I truly hope I'm wrong.

Thanks. I just need to change into game day clothes and get ice, then we're on our way.

Did I miss something this week? I thought the lots would not open until 4 hours prior to the kick-off, which this week would mean 11:30. If i'm wrong let me know. We are all packed and all I have to do is get ice.

As has already been stated "what a f---ing knucklehead. I have never bbena fan of Jaq, but if that is what the coaches had wanted, so be it. I wish Matt the best tomorrow , will be puling for him and the team the rest of the season. I hope Jaq acquires some metal splinters.

"You have to believe! You have to have faith! You have to want it more than the other team! IU, we are here for you! For the glory of old IU! Fight on Hoosiers! Make the entire nation proud!"Not only do we believe, we know that the Loosiers will make the entire Zip Nation very proud when the final whistle sounds and Indiana will have taken another beating. GO ZIPS! -
Vendors were going up and down the aisle between 108 & 110 all day.

Zips win 27-25 on a game ending FG.

I hope we don't start splitting the qb duties. Whenever that happens you looking for nothing but inconsistentcy & trouble. I would prefer Rogers over Jaq, but JD is the coach. That is why he makes the big bucks.

We just got home and all I can say is"what a great job!" We spent some time on levels 5 & 6 and watched the fireworks from the main concourse. Everyone from the university thanked us for coming. That came for Dr. Proenza down to the young ladies that were offering Zippy cookies at departure. If they continue this kind of attention and the team wins on a consistant basis, there is no doubt in my mind that we will be consistenlty be sold out.

It still looks like they are not planning on opening the lots until 10:00. http://www.gozips.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_...TCLID=204791396 -
I know that thye have retained most of the ushers and security from the RB and have hired more, in the range of another 25%. Most of the ones that work the fb games also work the bb games and also work at Blossom during the summer months.

K.e.n.t. Kicks off the Season Tonight
akronad replied to Captain Kangaroo's topic in Akron Zips Football
18 measly points! They scored only 2 TD's and 2 Safeties. It's not like they rolled over Coastal, although if you read the piece in the PD, it sure seemed that way. -
