Thought I would chime in. I don't know how anybody can use last nights games as some evaluation or stament about the ZIPs direction. We have played many good teams over the last couple years and done very well. Certainly the wheel fell off last night, but this program has only gotten better over the last 8 years. The last two resruiting classes are very strong. We now expect to lead the league, win the tournament and go to the NCAA. If KD has hit the ceiling by going to the championship game 7 years in a row and to the NCAA 3 out of the last 5. Who cares. Trying to compare last night's game against VCU and compare it to how our program is getting better or worse is useless. VCU is a nice team and entered the game very confident. The ZIPs have a nice team but given all that was going on, you could see there was little confidance and no swager when that game started. VCU played well and we saw how it went. Specific to the game. Our defense was way out of whack. Yes, playing better competition and VCU did hit shot after shot. But regardless we just seemed to be off defensively. Gave open shots, they got to the rim, and gotten second chances. Specific to the program - as stated above, but we do need to work on strengthening the schedule. GO ZIPS.

So is anyone hearing any news on Q and how likely he will return?

Is the 7th in a row for the mens a record? I hope Akron shows up in mass to support both these programs.

I thought I would throw this out as I am sitting here reading all the stuff here and in the paper. What I like is the optimism (AND VERBAL SUPPORT) most seem to be putting out there. Classy coach and program. Hope that the team can and will pull together. Support of CB in a tough spot. The articel on Zeke. As fans we can walk with our heads down or do something to help. Anyone have some ideas? Any ideas on how to get as many fans there as possible Friday? Team send off? As mentioned in another thread, I also remain very positive on the direction the U of A is heading in all areas. Soccer, basketbal (now the womens), etc..... Go ZIPS!!!!!!!!

Very unfortunate for Alex and the ZIPS. I do believe they can overcome this and I will be at all the remaining games to support them. We have Seniors to support this eve. I believe CB can run the show. Not the experience that AA has but has the skill. I think you'll see CB slow down a bit as I believe he was charged to pick the tempo up when he came in. Go ZIPS!

I was at the game and debated. For me my son was with me and had some school work. Certainly the interest is there with ove 5000 on a Tuesday eve. Most were not there anticipating to see the championship clinched but to see these ZIps play. How many were at the 1986 game? I also agreee expections are much greater now.

Agree on Chauncey. He actually gave us some penetration off the perimiter.

Any body havbe any news on how the crowd size might be for the game?

As fans we should be disappointed in the loss. I would have been a great Monday with a win. That's why we follow this team, every game. But Tuesday we'd be right back at the same point. Need to Win. This is really fun to see the passion on the board but, WE ALL need to be more positive about this team and the program. It seems to me that things keep getting better and can continue to do so. Saturday's game wasn't our only chance. We all know the reality is in the end the team needs to just win. Win Tuesday, etc.... I hope we have a big turn out for Tuesday's game. GO ZIPS!!!!!

Good crowd, and I think the crowd enjoyed it. There wehre not many runs either way so for that stand point the crowd did not have the usual high and lows. seemed thagme was at 8 points most of the time. Would drop to 6 and then push to 11 on ocassion. GO ZIPS>!!!!

Any news on the student tirnout?

I think CG is a player and gald to have him as a ZIP. I hope he feels like a team member and can do some big things.
